Saturday’s Doubleheader Was Excellent

Sunday==>Good afternoon to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the hinterlands, wastelands and boondocks.

I want to start this posting with a picture taken of my darling great-granddaughter, Saylor Falletta, who is with her parents and friends on a long-weekend skiing vacation in Boone, NC.

Man, she is growing up soooooooo fast.

Billi Pod is happy to report to you loyal and faithful readers and followers that yesterday’s entertainment doubleheader, although heavy, was totally enjoyable ... so let’s get right to it with his reports cards on ...

SECRETS, about the intense personal and professional relationship between Sigmund Freud and Carl Gustav Jung==>B+

The show was well acted and also very informative. As portrayed both men had serious anger issues, meaning there was a lot, and I mean, a lot of yelling and screaming. Oh well ... The house was full.

The show runs through March 10th and is definitely worth seeing.

When the show was over I came back to the warm and cozy confines of PHC for the usual fruit and cheese plate and then headed back down to the same theater complex to see ...

BODEGA BAY, about a young woman who is on a journey of self-discovery==>A-

Emotionally involving and extremely well acted by an ensemble cast who play multiple roles. My only quibble with the show is that it is too long @ 2:30, with an intermission.

The small theatre was sold-out.

I am glad I finally got to see it because it closes this afternoon.

It was 11:15pm when I finally got back to the apartment and I have to admit to being emotionally spent, but ... that isn’t a bad thing for a theater-nut like moi, is it?

Moving on ...

Today’s entertainment event is something that sounds a bit “different” ...

3:00==>JESUS IN INDIA - “Teenaged and wayward, a little confused and a little punk rock, Jesus of Nazareth journeys to the east with his friend, Abigail of Galilee, on the back of a camel. They cross the Hindu Kush to the Indo-Mathura, a region of spiritual innovation, new age music and really good weed. A contemporary parable that looks at the world’s most famous rebel before he found his cause.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

Until I booked this show I didn’t know that there is a body of thought that Jesus did, in fact, spend part of the so-called “missing-years” in the Mideast.

I think it a bit ironic that this show is playing at Saint Clement's Theatre on West 46th Street.

The play had its national debut in San Francisco in January and received generally very favorable reviews. It will be interesting to see how it is received by the New York critics.

Oh ... weather-wise ... it was only 26º @ 8:30am here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.36 miles (or, 7.360 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,148.49 miles

GO GATORS AND GO YANKEES!!
