Yes==>Billi Pod Likes COCK!!

OK, my loyal and faithful readers out there in the wilderness known as cyberspace, in the name of fair and unbiased reporting Billi Pod must report to you that he likes COCK!!

Yes, you can report to your family and friends that Billi Pod likes COCK ... the Off Broadway show about a gay couple whose relationship is in danger when the younger-one meets “the woman of his dreams” and is faced with making a choice.

Billi Pod’s report card==>A+<==excellent cast, great acting and incredible staging.

This play, imported from London, is at The Duke Theatre on 42nd Street and is performed in the round, with 5 rows of bleacher seats with small cushions - there is no seat backing. There are no costumes, no sets and the scenes are separated only by an electronic bell rung by the stage manager seated in the front row.

All four of the actors are terrific American performers with acceptable English accents, the best being Cory Michael Smith in the role of John, the younger half of the troubled couple. He is the one who must make the potentially life-altering choice(s).

Although the ending left me a bit puzzled, IMHO==>COCK is a unique and engaging theatrical experience and is a must-see.

So ... Billi Pod again states==>HE LIKES COCK!!

What he doesn’t like is what is happening in The Yankee Universe, with all of the injuries to crucial players, David Robertson (Mo’s erstwhile replacement) being the latest. Also, we continue to have a dismal performance record with runners in scoring position.

I am seeing this with my theater-nut buddy, Marty Kosarik, and afterwards we are having a late dinner at a Mexican restaurant named El Ranchito del Agave, located on 9th Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets.

I have to admit that I know little about Mexican food so I like to be with someone who does.
