Billi Pod Says==>MY BAD!!

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers ... Billi Pod says==>MY BAD<==for not making a timely posting yesterday.

Yes ... yes ... he knows and understands that these daily postings bring much entertainment and enlightenment into the otherwise drab lives of those of you residing in the hinterlands and boondocks ... but isn’t Billi Pod entitled to an occasional day off? Isn’t he????

What? I mean ... WHAT? OK ... OK ... you are right ... he understands that you will accept no excuses ... so please just forgive me for this transgression and at least accept my heart felt==>MY BAD!!

In the name of fair and unbiased reporting, basically==>yesterday just sucked!!

Yeah, yesterday was one of those rare entertainment days where everything I had scheduled for my entertainment doubleheader was just ...

B*O*R*I*N*G

The first event was a staged reading at The York Theatre ... 3:00==>THE PIGEON BOYS, a musical about the forgotten “pigeoneers” of World War II==>BORING<==the 3 person cast was OK but the story line was yawn inducing. It ran for 90 minutes without intermission. Sorry ... but ... this is a project best forgotten.

Then for the evening was a production by Musical's Tonight!, at a theater on my block ... 7:30==>SITTING PRETTY, the revival of the 1924 Jerome Kern musical about a millionaire who plans to adopt one of two twin orphans and then marry her to his protégé, who is in reality a thief==>EXTRA BORING.

Man, the clock stopped moving. There was nothing to like in this production. The cast was, at best, mediocre and the material bland. I thought Act 1 would never end. When it finally arrived Billi Pod was outta there in a heart beat.

This was a major disappointment because in the past I have liked the work of this theater company. Oh well ... guess you can’t win them all.

Came back to PHC to watch the final innings of the YANKEES/TWINS game, which the Yankees lost 6-5 as a result of a tepid performance from Hiroki Kuroda.

Derek Jeter’s bat remains hot. He hit his 4th homer and went 3 for 5.

Yep ... it was a kinda fitting way to end a boring day ... anyway ... moving on ...

Tonight’s entertainment event is gonna be ... tada ...

7:05==>YANKEES/TWINS @ Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed and Ego Built. This is the final game of the 4-game series.

It is forecast to be 63º @ game time. Phil Hughes will be on the mound. No doubt about it ... he needs a good outing if he wants to remain in the starting rotation.

When the game is over the Bronx Bombers will head up to that fetid cesspool known as Fenway Park to begin a 3-game series with the BOSTON F**KSOX, who are in last place in the AL East as a result of a 3-game losing streak. How nice!

I will admit up front that Billi Pod’s weekend schedule is built around the starting times for each of these games ...

Friday @ 3:05

Saturday @ 4:05

Sunday @ 8:05 on ESPN

Yep ... no way will he miss these games.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
