We Got Our Ass Whipped!

Sunday==>OK my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace - there’s no way to gloss over the major ass-whipping The Florida State Seminoles administered to my Florida Gators yesterday afternoon at The Swamp in Gainesville.

The Gators played a good game for the first 11 minutes and 17 seconds, until the ‘Noles scored their first 3 points, but from that point on the game was basically over. Yes, it was an extremely difficult game to watch but as a loyal member of The Gator Nation I stayed with them until the very bitter end.

You know, I am sick and tired of hearing about this being an “injury-plagued” team ... injuries are unfortunately part of this particular sport and ... this is the reason teams have a Strength and Conditioning Coach, which, I assume, we have. If we do ... then fire him ASAP.

The bottom line on Coach Will Muschamp’s 3-year tenure has been his inability to produce a reliable offense and that was a problem even last year with our 11-2 team.

Unfortunately, Jeremy Foley has openly backed Muschamp to the point that he will be our coach for the next season. I only hope that they will acknowledge the problem(s) and bring in another offensive coach and then give him the responsibility and tools to build a new offensive team.

BREAKING NEWS==>AP is reporting that offensive coordinator Brent Pease has just been fired.

Moving on ...

Billi Pod spent the rest of the day and evening as a 110% couch potato, glued to the tube watching college football.

Man, what an AMAZING win by The Auburn Tigers over No. 1 ranked ‘Bama on the last play of the game, a 109 yard return of a missed field goal attempt. I hate Tigers.

Then, The Missouri Tigers won over Texas A&M and Johnny Football in a nail-biter 28-21 to advance to the SEC Championship game against Auburn. It will be Tigers vs. Tigers. I hate Tigers.

Then, The South Carolina Gamecocks (still don’t know what a gamecock is) won over The Clemson Tigers 31-17. Hooray, because I hate Tigers.

There were other great games but I won’t bore you with any more details ...

Moving on ...

Today I will again be in front of the ‘tube, this time watching pro-football during the day and then for the evening I will finally leave the warm and cozy confines of PHC for an entertainment event, something that sounds a bit different (no pun intended) ...

8:30==>BARBERSHOP FESTIVAL 2013 @ Carnegie Hall - “Heart of America Chorus, Crossroads Quartet, The Gas House Gang, and The River City Barbershop Chorus perform together to celebrate 75 years of Barbershop Harmony in America.” (concert - complimentary ticket)

Yeah, your favorite blogger is definitely in the mood for something light and festive. Hope this fills the bill.
