BARBERSHOP FESTIVAL 2013==>WONDERFUL!!

Monday==>Yes, it is Back-To-Work Monday for all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace. The long holiday weekend is now over and it is time for you to return to your jobs in order to support the sagging economy and to help prevent we poor pensioners and retirees from having to join the soup-kitchen line(s).

Yes ... as “they” say==>keep up the good work.

Billi Pod is happy to report that last night’s concert at Carnegie Hall was a perfect way for him to end the extended holiday weekend ...

BARBERSHOP FESTIVAL 2013 @ Carnegie Hall, Heart of America Chorus, Crossroads Quartet, The Gas House Gang, and The River City Barbershop Chorus perform together to celebrate 75 years of Barbershop Harmony in America==>WONDERFUL!!

Folks, this was one of the best concerts of the year, made even better by the awesome acoustics in Carnegie Hall. My comp. seat was in the rear of the parquet (orchestra) level and it was excellent.

The individual groups and the combined chorus performed a wide array of songs, from West Side Story to baroque, with beautiful harmonies and outstanding solos.

The audience was very much into the performances and rewarded the talented singers with a roaring standing ovation when the concert was completed at 11:00pm.

Yes, I left Carnegie Hall with a big smile on my face. It was way too cold to walk back to the apartment. It was around 11:30pm when I opened the door to the warm and cozy confines of PHC.

I was starving. Luckily I still had some Thanksgiving Day leftovers in the frig.

Yes, it was a perfect way to end a wonderful extended holiday weekend.

What about today I know you are all asking your inner selves?

Well, inner selves, as you will remember ... Monday is your favorite blogger's errands and chores day here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, so that will be first on his agenda.

Then for the evening is something very different, a light show ...

7:00==>ILUMINATE: Artist Of Light - “Music, art and magical light suits follows Jacob, a talented but insecure young artist, and his magical paintbrush. When a jealous bully steals the paintbrush and uses it for evil, Jacob must fight to save his town and friends.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This well-reviewed show in playing at The New World Stages on West 50th Street, has a running time of 55 minutes, without intermission, and runs through March 30, 2014.

OK ... I got stuff to do so I will close this posting with ...

A major WELCOME HOME shout-out to my buddy Marty Kosarik aka Whatever, who has just returned to The Big Apple after spending an awesome 3 weeks in Hawaii.

Looking forward to seeing you soon, Marty. I can feel our favorite Fallopian restaurant, Meske, calling out to Dian, you and me.
