The Vienna Boys' Choir For This Afternoon

Sunday==>Had a great lunch yesterday with Dian Crystal aka My Lady and Marty Kosarik aka Whatever at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant, Meske, on West 47th Street in my Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood.

As I posted yesterday, Marty has just returned from spending 3 awesome weeks in Hawaii, two weeks on his own and then one week with family members. We did some much needed catching up and Marty shared lots and lots of pics with us.

As usual, we each had the Vegetarian Platter and it was terrific, as expected.

So ... guys ... it was great being with you.

When lunch was over I came back to the warm and cozy confines of PHC and settled in to watch college football for the rest of the day/evening.

Man, some really exciting games, including the Auburn/Missouri shoot-out (where were the defenses?) and the nail-biting Michigan State upset win over unbeaten Ohio State.

The FSU/Duke game was a blowout as expected. As you know, The ‘Noles will now play Auburn for the BCS Championship on January 6, 2014.

Moving on ...

Today’s entertainment event marks the beginning of your favorite blogger’s holiday season ...

2:00==>THE VIENNA BOYS' CHOIR @ Carnegie Hall.The Vienna Boys' Choir is one of the oldest boys' choirs in the world. For nearly five hundred years it has been one of the enduring symbols of Austria and Vienna. ‘Christmas in Vienna’ will feature Austrian folk songs, classical masterpieces, popular songs and, of course, holiday favorites.” (full price ticket)

This annual holiday concert was part of Billi Pod’s holiday tradition for 7 consecutive years, ending in 2012 when it, unfortunately, conflicted with The Holiday Brass concert by The New York Philharmonic. I am so happy that the two concerts do not conflict this year. I have an excellent seat in the center orchestra, 6th row.

At the moment I am unsure what, if anything, I will do entertainment-wise for tonight ... might just stay in and watch the 8:00pm Carolina Panthers/New Orleans Saints game on NBC.

Oh ... it is still majorly cold here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. At 11:00am the temperature is 32º, wind chill 24º with light snow in the forecast for the early evening hours and into the night.

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>1.54 miles (or, 3,380 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>537.12 miles (average 3.36 miles per day)
