Snowing In The Big Apple

Saturday==>At 10:00am here in the Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, it is snowing. The temperature is 26º, wind chill 15º

It is expected to continue to snow through the day and into the evening, with 1 to 3 inches accumulating during the day and another 1 to 3 inches for the night.

No snow is forecast for Sunday, Thank God!

This morning, around 10:00am, John Scott Reed aka Fabson and his dad, Stan Reed, aka Stan The Man, will come over to PHC.

After we do some much needed and anticipated catching up we will have a late breakfast/brunch somewhere in my ‘hood.

So ... now let’s move on to ...

Billi Pod's report card on last night's entertainment event ...

I am happy to report to you loyal and faithful readers and followers that last night’s concert, SPIRIT OF THE SEASON @ Symphony Space, performed by the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps Symphonic Band, was TOTALLY ENJOYABLE.

The house was full. My comp. seat was in the balcony, but that was no problem.

The concert included works by acclaimed composers John Williams, Camille Saint-Saens and Irving Berlin, as well as those beloved holiday standards Jingle Bells, The Twelve Days of Christmas and Danny Elfman's bone-chilling film favorite The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Yeah, the event reinforced my holiday spirit(s), it really did.

What also helped was running into my buddies Michael Pederson and Dennis Dohman before the concert. When it was over we took the subway together back downtown.

Moving on ...

Despite the dismal weather forecast, your favorite blogger has, of course, an entertainment event scheduled for this evening ...

8:00==>WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? BACHARACH REIMAGINED. - “Twenty-five-year-old musician and actor Kyle Riabko performs his unique, soulful arrangements of the Bacharach songbook backed by an eclectic group of young singers and dancers. Bacharach’s timeless music is reintroduced through the eyes and ears of a new generation.” (Off Broadway - discounted ticket)

This well-reviewed show is playing the New York Theater Workshop in the East Village, has a running time of 1:30, without intermission, and runs through January 5th

Unfortunately, this venue is a kinda long walk from the nearest subway station, so I will leave a bit early so I can carefully traverse what I know will be icy sidewalks and street crossings.

OK, it is now time to post this and then get ready for Scott and Stan ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.15 miles (or, 4,712 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>554.57 miles (average 3.34 miles per day)

GO GATORS!!
