That’s right my loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands, last night at Yankee Stadium, The House The Greed Built, it was==>BBBB!!!!
Meaning ... Boston Bombs Bronx Bummers ... meaning ... we lost 6-4 in a game we were never in. It sucked!! Barf!!
Basically the only positive thing about the evening was my interaction with the charming couple seated to my right, Robin & Steve, from Perth, Australia, who were attending their very first baseball game. They are in the middle of a six-week journey beginning in Los Angeles, then Miami, then New York, then London, then Paris and ending in Rome.
Billi Pod was basically their game tour-guide (we didn’t leave our seats, of course). They had done their homework and understood the basics of baseball. I had a great time filling them in on the finer parts of the game. They left their seats in the 7th inning to wander around the stadium (or, at least that is what they said ... hummmm ... I wonder ...). I am sorry we couldn’t produce a come-from-behind win for them, but we couldn’t.
The weather for the game was awesome. It was the first time this season that I went to the stadium sans rain gear, or a sweater, or a jacket etc. It felt great.
If the weather holds up, on Saturday, after the afternoon Cleveland game, Billi Pod intends to walk from the stadium in The Bronx back to PHC, a distance of about 6.5 miles. Keep your fingers crossed for him.

Good news==>scored a complimentary ticket to this afternoon’s CATCH ME IF YOU CAN.
Saw it in previews and liked it a lot. My FaceBook friend John McDaniel is no longer the Musical Director - he has moved on to other projects.
The show has received 4 Tony nominations. Looking forward to it. Could use a smile or two today.
Will stay in tonight and watch game 2 of the YANKEES/FUCKSOX series, with AJ Burnett aka Loser Boi on the mound vs. centurion Tim Wakefield for the FuckSox.
