Back To Work You Worker Bees

Good morning to all of my Worker Bee friends out there in the vast hinterlands==>the weekend is over so it is time for you to return to your day/night jobs.

Remember, we retirees, or perhaps poor pensioners is better, depend on your work ethic to help us maintain our life-styles in our declining years. As you know, Billi Pod’s life-style has been declining for the last 16+ years, since his retirement in January 1995. Oh woe ...

Yes, we are truly sorry that most of you will never be able to retire. We sincerely regret that you will probably have to keep working until you drop dead ... sorry ... that’s just the way it is today ... when you are a Worker Bee.

But, anyway==>thanks again ... keep at it ... maybe you should consider a second job too ... jus sayin’ ...

Spent the afternoon watching the YANKEES/ANGELS game. The Yankees ended their West Coast road trip by winning 5-3 on 2 HRs by Teixeira and another journeyman pitching performance by Bartolo Colon.

The win made their record for the road trip 6-3 and they still lead the AL East by a game over the Boston FuckSox.

Derek Jeter got one base hit, meaning he has 14 to go to reach the 3,000 plateau. Hopefully (but kinda doubtfully) he will do it during the upcoming 10-game home stand.

Tomorrow night The Boston FuckSox arrive, followed by The Indians and then The Rangers. Billi Pod has tickets for 5 of the games.

Report card on last night’s entertainment event ...

10 x 25 (Series B)==>A-<==8 short plays. 6 were excellent, 2 were so-so.

The last one was “This Backstage Life,” about goings-on before the opening curtain on the opening night of a Broadway show. It was laugh-out-loud funny.

Series B is definitely worth seeing. Look forward to seeing Series C in a couple of weeks.

When the show was over, it was only 90 minutes, Billi Pod walked back to PHC, a distance of a little over a mile. The weather was terrific.

Today, being a Monday, it is, as most of you loyal and faithful readers know, Billi Pod’s errands day. Have the usual rather boring things and stuff to do.

Tonight’s entertainment event is at a theater on my block ...

7:00==>ONE ARM - “Based on Tennessee Williams' unproduced screenplay of his own classic short story, this new adaptation follows Ollie, a young boxing champ who loses his arm and turns to hustling to survive.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket).

Hummmmmmmmm ... a hustler whose name is “Ollie”? Not likely. Anyway ... the advance buzz is very good and I am looking forward to it.

I will close this posting with an update on my BFF Ginger Flowers of Atlanta, GA. Ginger was released from the hospital last week and transferred to Briar Cliff Haven, a nursing home, where she has been undergoing a rehabilitation program to improve her mobility.

I understand that she will have a review on Wednesday and that will determine what her future will be. Will keep you advised.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If you want to talk with her just shoot me an email and I will send you the telephone number etc.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
