A kinda gloomy and dark beginning to the weekend. Damn!! At 9:00am it was 20º cooler than the same time yesterday, and that is a plus.
At this moment not sure what impact, if any, the weather will have on Billi Pod’s plans for the day/evening. Details later in this posting.
Last night’s NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC concert was excellent. My discounted TDF seat was terrific, row V in the very center of the orchestra.
The concert was a well needed change from baseball etc. etc. etc. Yep, I admit that Billi Pod needed a break.
But, when the concert was over he did walk back to PHC while listening to the last two innings of the YANKEES/CLEVELAND game on his trusty, but now ancient, Walkman.
Yep, the Wankies did finally win a game, beating Cleveland 11-7, although the final innings were terribly sloppy as the bullpen gave up 4 runs, making the game much closer than the final score indicates.
Today’s scheduled entertainment event is ... tada ...
1:05==>YANKEES/CLEVELAND, with the pleasantly surprising Bartolo Colon on the mound.
Billi Pod is unsure whether he will walk back home from the stadium after the game, 6.5 miles. Kinda doubt it. We will see how he feels at the conclusion of the game and how the weather is. There are still several options for the rest of the season, so ... we will just see what, if anything, develops.
My evening is open at the moment, depending on my walking plans. Will probably catch a movie==>THE HANGOVER PART II.
Billi Pod is happy to report that John Scott Reed will join him for the Paul McCartney concert at Yankee Stadium on July 15th.
The actual invitation text message went like this ...
Billi Pod - “Wantta go with me to see Paul McCartney at Yankee Stadium?”
John Scott Reed - “I guess so ... what team is he on?”
Oh well, the younger generation ... what can you say?
Oh, I know he will dispute this, but, as you loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands know ... Billi Pod is known for his fair and unbiased reporting ... jus sayin'
GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
