Friday Was Kinda Strange ...

It was a kinda strange day yesterday.

What do I mean you loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands are no doubt breathlessly asking? Well, it went down like this ...

First, a team 12-games under .500 and a pitcher who had yet to win this year (0-5) proved to be the worst combination for the Yankees at Wrigley Field.

Their anemic bats, and, once again, inability to get hits with runners in scoring position, led to a disappointing 1-3 loss to The Cubs. Barf!

Strange.

At today’s 4:10pm game AJ Barnett aka Loser Boi will be on the mound. Hopefully we will bounce back because the FuckSox now lead us by 2 1/2 games. Double barf!!

Then, in the late afternoon there was lightning, thunder and hail in a late afternoon storm in Midtown.

One minute it was bright and sunny and the next, OMFG!!, it was like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. It was very scary and Billi Pod is not being overly dramatic ... it was scary.

But, in about 15 minutes it was over, although it stayed gray and gloomy for the remainder of the afternoon and evening.

Man, what is it with all of this strange weather, not only here in NYC but also all over the country?

Strange, very very strange.

Then the third kinda strange event was ......

Billi Pod’s report card on THE SHAGGS==>B<==strange ... much better than he anticipated.

Quirky. Acting excellent. Music only so-so. The overbearing father makes Mama Rose (GYPSY) seem like a pacifist and Billi Pod ended up disliking him a lot.

Thought about leaving at intermission but glad he didn’t because it turned out to be a decent evening’s entertainment.

Yes, it is worth seeing.

When these three "events" were factored in, Billi Pod was feeling kinda strange and just a step out-of-sync when he crashed at the usual 2:00am ... strange ...

Anyhow ... on to other things ... like ... Billi Pod’s scheduled entertainment event for today ...

2:30==>10 x 25 (Series C) - “8 ten-minute plays, including: sex and parenting; bidding for souls; Shakespeare in an alley; and, an artistic director dangerously on the brink.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket).

The performance is at the Atlantic Theater in Chelsea. Loved series “A” and “B.” Looking forward to series ‘C.”

When the show is over Billi Pod will no doubt walk back to PHC, a distance of a little over a mile, while listening to the YANKEES/CUBS game on his trusty, but now ancient, Walkman.

Tonight he will catch a movie but at this moment he is not sure which one, so stay tuned.

Oh, in response to several emails and texts==>yes, I have finished reading Tim Tebow’s THROUGH MY EYES. I am working on my critique/review and will probably post it tomorrow or Monday.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
