Rain - The Actual Dance - Budapest Festival Orchestra - Pro-football

Sunday==>Good morning to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace. I hope your weekend is going well.

Unfortunately, here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, at 10:00am it is gray and overcast with a light rain. The temperature is 35º, wind chill 28º, and the forecast is for the rain to get heavier as the day progresses. Oh well ...

Let’s begin with Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s Off Broadway show ...

THE ACTUAL DANCE, a one-act show, written and performed by Samuel Simon, about his journey through the uncharted waters of his wife’s diagnosis of breast cancer==>B

I really wanted/expected to like this much more but I found the acting to be only so-so and the story line ultimately to be formulistic and predictable.

However, the underlying message of the difficulty in being a caregiver makes the show worth seeing ... so ...

Billi Pod says==>it is worth seeing.

It is playing at The Theatre Row Complex on my West 42nd Street block, has a running time of just 60 minutes, without intermission, and runs through February 1st.

Moving on ...

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for today is a concert at Lincoln Center ...

3:00==>BUDAPEST FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall - The program is:

Mendelssohn  - Three Songs;
Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto (performed by Isabelle Faust); and
Brahms - Symphony No. 3
(concert - discounted TDF ticket)

Really looking forward to this because I am a huge Brahms fan. I am seeing this group again on Wednesday night and they will perform another Brahms work, his Symphony No. 1.

When the concert is over I will come back to the warm and cozy confines of PHC to watch pro-football for the remainder of the afternoon and evening ...

3:05==>Packers @ Seahawks, carried on FOX. The Seahawks are favored by 7 1/2 points.

6:40==>Colts @ Patriots, carried on CBS. The Patriots are favored by 6 1/2 points.

I am pulling for the Seahawks and the Patriots to win and advance to The Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1st, @ 6:30pm from Glendale, AZ.

OK ... time to post this, finish up the three Sunday papers and then get ready for my concert ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>1.52  miles (or, 3,323 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>68.96 miles (average 4.06 miles per day)
