More Snow - Baby Universe - John Scott Reed

Friday==>At 8:30am this morning it is snowing here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. The temperature is 23º, wind chill down to 12º. Yep ... another nasty and freezing day.

The forecast is for this to continue through Sunday. Then it will get somewhat warmer, hopefully.

Oh well ... moving on to ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s “different” Off Broadway show ...

BABY UNIVERSE, over 30 puppets are used in this play set in the apocalyptic future where scientists are generating baby universes in the hope that one might birth a planet that can support the relocation of the entire remaining population==>B+

This is a very different and sometimes very disturbing take on the End of the World, as we know it. The story line is at times a bit confusing, particularly the very last scene. The puppetry is, however, outstanding and that makes the experience worthwhile.

Billi Pod says==>if you like puppets and/or want something totally different then see this show ... if not ... stay far far away.

It is playing at The Theatre Row Complex on my West 42nd Street block, has a running time of 1:10, without intermission, and only runs through this coming Sunday.

Moving on ...

Your favorite bloggers entertainment event for this evening will be a long overdue dinner with John Scott Reed aka Fabson.

When he gets off work at FacebookNY he will come over to my apartment where we will start some much needed/wanted catching-up and then we will have dinner someplace in the immediate ‘hood.

Scott spent Christmas and New Years in Thailand. When he got back to The City he almost immediately headed out to Las Vegas with a Facebook team to participate in the International Consumer Electronics Show.

He got back to The Big Apple late last night. WOW!!

Really looking forward to our time together.

Moving on ...

Yesterday was so bitterly cold that I only left the warm and cozy confines of my apartment twice, once to go to the post office and grocery store and then to my show in the evening. Very unpleasant.

I made myself stick to a rather rigorous apartment walking schedule which ultimately resulted in a good walking day, although it was boring as Hell. The mileage for the day was 4.27 miles.

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers ... time to post this and then finish up with the 2014 entertainment stats I know you are all anxiously awaiting.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND STAY WARM!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.27  miles (or, 9,351 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>29.42 miles (average 3.68 miles per day)
