DeflateGate - Dave Gorman - Budapest Festival Orchestra - Stay Tuned

Wednesday==>Once again your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, feels it is necessary to keep you loyal and faithful readers and followers up-to-date on what is featured in the local newspapers ... and ...

Basically, the spotlight was shared with The President’s State of The Union Address and what has now been labeled DeflateGate ...

These are the DeflateGate headlines in today’s papers ...

A KICK IN THE BALLS! - Deflate-gate: Pats cheated - front page of The NY Post

SLIME BALLS - Report: 11 of 12 footballs used by Patriots were underinflated - back page of The NY Post

WHAT A PAIR! - Ball uproar only inflates status of Bill & Brady as biggest and best villains in sports - back page of The Daily News

But ... absolutely no mention whatsoever in The New York Times aka The Gray Lady.

Oh ... the drama ...

So ... let’s move on to something far less dramatic ... like ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s comedy show ...

DAVE GORMAN’S POWERPOINT PRESENTATION, one of comedy’s most innovative thinkers has formed a double act with a projector screen for an exclusive limited run==>A.

The award-winning UK comedian has created a highly amusing in-your-face show that skewers many subjects that are related to the online world. It is profane, sometimes cringe-worthy, educational, thought-provoking, involving and   very entertaining.

My only quibble is that his British accent, coupled with a machine-gun-like delivery, makes it sometimes difficult to keep up with him.

Having said that ... it is a totally enjoyable evening and just what your favorite blogger was in the mood for ... so ...

Billi Pod says==>if you like in-your-face comedy, then this is the show for you.

It is playing at the Subculture Theatre on Bleecker Street in the East Village, has a running time of 1:30, without intermission, and runs through January 31st.

Moving on ...

Tonight’s entertainment event is a concert at Lincoln Center ...

8:00==>BUDAPEST FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall - The program is:

Mozart - Overture to Die Zauberflöte;
Mozart - Violin Concerto No. 5 “Turkish” (performed by Pinchas Zukerman); and
Brahms - Symphony No. 1
(concert - discounted TDF ticket)

I am really looking forward to this concert because, as previously reported, I am an avid Brahms fan.

The January 18th performance, with Billi Pod in attendance, received a very favorable review in The New York Times.

In closing==>later on today I intend to share with you loyal and faithful readers and followers a terrific article written by my long time friend S.L. Frisbie, of Bartow, FL, who is now retired. S.L. was the Owner/Editor of The Polk County Democrat ... so ... stay tuned.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.25  miles (or, 9,306 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>82.10 miles (average 4.11 miles per day)
