It Has Been A Difficult 24 Hours For Billi Pod.

In the name of fair and unbiased reporting, Billi Pod has to admit to you loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands that he has had difficulties in processing the implications of his beloved University of Florida, Home of The Fighting Gators and The Swamp, being named The 10th Douchiest University in America. WTF!!

Yes, he was barely able to sleep last night after posting the results of the GQ article. He fitfully dreamed that he had been punked. Then, that this was all somehow a result of his decision to leave The State of Florida to become a resident of The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

OMFG!! Was Billi Pod to blame???==>WTF!!

This morning he shared his grief and concerns with some other Gator alums residing in The City and they uniformly assured Bill Pod that he wasn’t responsible ... that what is ... is ... that he had to move on with his life and remain true to his obligation to the vast unwashed masses out there in cyberspace to bring meaning and pleasure to their/your otherwise drab and boring lives by sharing his lifestyle experiences in Gotham City.

So ... taking a deep breath ... Billi Pod will attempt to move on ... with ...

Yesterday’s SAMUEL FRENCH SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL was again excellent and each of the 4 plays was different. The house was again full and the audience very much into the event. It was a very enjoyable hour.

Honey Mushroom - “The Honey Mushroom fungus and the General Sherman sequoia are unlikely penpals in a budding romance.” Running Time: 11 minutes.

The Painter - “After ten years, two cousins reunite to end a haunting promise.” Running Time: 30 minutes

Grapple - “A re-working of the story of Rapunzel, Grapple is a dark comedy about a young girl coming of age.” Running Time: 25 minutes.

Anyway ... last night The Yankees got a stellar performance from Freddy Garcia and the bullpen and beat The Rays 4-0, assisted by some redemptive batting and defense from Curtis Granderson.

What do I mean by “redemptive batting and defense?” Well, Granderson was pretty much responsible for the loss on Tuesday, due to his multiple defensive miscues. Last night in the top of the first inning he hit a 2 run homer to give The Yanks a lead they never relinquished. He later made a tremendous defensive play on a towering drive hit by Evan Longoria. He caught it and then crashed into the centerfield wall. Way to go Grandy!!

The final game of the series is tonight with our ace CC Sabathia on the mound going for his 15th win.
