TGIF For All Of You Worker Bees

Billi Pod Says==>TGIF for all of his Worker Bee friends here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, and out there in the boondocks and hinterlands.

Please know that Billi Pod is happy that you have something to look forward to other than the mundane workforce lifestyle you were consigned to at birth.

Billi Pod wants all of you Worker Bees to understand that he appreciates your ongoing contributions to the global economy that make it possible for Billi Pod to maintain his glorious lifestyle as a retiree in New York City.

Yes, one of the reasons that Billi Pod created this awe inspiring blog is to help bolster the admittedly fragile self-esteem in the universal Worker Bee community.

Yes, Worker Bees everywhere, your work, tedious though it may be, does not go unrewarded because it has produced and maintains Billi Pod.

Thank You!!

Yesterday’s matinee performance of HONESTLY ABE, a musical about the early life of Abraham Lincoln, was, honestly, only 1 level above a high school production and for that it earns only a==>C.

This is unfortunate because the young cast really put in a 100% effort into the show. The staging was embarrassingly awkward, largely due to the structure and design of the stage at The Actor’s Temple Theater.

I think there were more performers on stage than members of the audience and that is not a good sign.

Oh well ... moving on ...

Last night finally had some face time and catching-up time with my friend Justin Allen Pifer, who came over to PHC after his after-work gym session.

We talked about a lot of things and stuff, including his recent awesome trip to Dubai, Jordan and Petra and then we had a bite at The Theater Row Diner, which is right next door to my building.

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...

8:00==>LEO - “A mind-bending and witty one-man show of acrobatic physical theatre that defies the laws of gravity.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This is playing at a theater on my block and has received generally very favorable reviews. Looking forward to it.

Speaking of looking forward ... Billi Pod has scheduled another tripleheader for Saturday and will post the awesome details later tonight after he gets back from his show.

I will close with a==>HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to my daughter (and recent grandmother) Kathryn Bendeck of Columbia, SC. To quote her husband, Dr. John: “Half a century, plus 7.”

Hey, lady, don’t get upset with me ... I didn’t say it ... all I am doing is fulfilling my role as a fair and unbiased reporter.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS AND GO BIG BLUE!!
