Jim Brochu’s CHARACTER MAN==>A+

Wednesday==>Your favorite blogger has a matinee this afternoon (details below), so let’s get started with ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s Off Broadway show ...

CHARACTER MAN, Jim Brochu’s salute to the memorable character actors of Broadway. Sprinkled with juicy backstage lore this one-man show spotlights the careers of Zero Mostel, Jack Gilford, Barney Martin and David Burns==>A+

Folks, I can’t remember when I enjoyed a show more.

Brochu is totally AMAZING, weaving the informative and emotionally involving story line through songs, dialogue and vintage photographs and films.

His stage presence and timing are impeccable and the 90-minute running time flies by.

The sold-out house was really into the show and we gave Jim a well-deserved standing ovation at curtain call.

If you are a lover of theater history, then this a MUST SEE. Even if you aren’t, this is still a MUST SEE ... so ...
