AT THIS PERFORMANCE==>A

Monday==>OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, I know many of you have grown tired of your favorite blogger’s constant bitching, whining and complaining about the cold weather up here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World ... and ... you have every reason to be tired ... and ... you have certainly expressed your feelings in this regard to me in your emails, texts and posts. Point taken.

Yes, I concede that cold weather is a given factor in living in the North East during the winter ... but ... it is now the end of March and Spring is officially here ... but ...

At 8:00am this morning the temperature outside 420 W. 42nd Street was ... gasp ... 23º, with wind chill down to 13º and ... double gasp ... snow is in the forecast for Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday.

When will it ever end? When??????

Oh well ... gotta move on I guess ... so ... let’s get started with Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s EXCELLENT entertainment event, the Off Broadway show ...

AT THIS PERFORMANCE, featuring Broadway standbys/understudies singing songs from their shows’ current musical hits==>A

Eleven very talented performers from: After Midnight; Big Fish; Beautiful; Bonnie & Clyde; The Bridges of Madison County; Bullets Over Broadway; Murder Ballad; Rock of Ages; Rocky; and, Cinderella were first individually interviewed by the host, Stephen DeAngelis, about their theater history etc., and then they each performed a song from their current show.

After that cycle was completed they each came back and performed a song of their own choosing.

The whole process was interesting, informative and totally entertaining. The 90-minute, without intermission, running time flew by.

The next group performs on April 7th and will included standbys/understudies from: Aladdin; Beautiful; The Book of Mormon; The Bridges of Madison County; Kinky Boots; Les Miserables; Motown; and, Pippin.

I will see it for sure.

Moving on ...

As I am writing this posting my entertainment plans for this evening are in flux ... I, of course, have many options, so I might not make a final decision until later in the afternoon.

I am even, gasp, considering giving Billi Pod a day/night off ... now ... calm down out there in the wilderness, boondocks and hinterlands ... I said I was “considering” it ... not that it is actually going to happen ... so ...

Just stay tuned.

Today, being Monday, is Billi Pod’s usual errands and chores day, so he needs to post this so he can brave the cold weather and get things done as soon as possible.
