GO GATORS! BEAT HALF ASS U!!!

Man, the clock has slowed down to a crawl as Billi Pod and The Gator Nation up here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, await the opening kickoff in the GATOR/HALF ASS U game at Choke Campbell Stadium, carried on ABC @ 3:30pm.

I am walking around PHC sucking on my thumb while trying to remove all negative thoughts about the game from my brain. Yes, I know all of the offensive and defensive stats on the SemiHoles side of the ball, but, folks, they have played a cream puff schedule. Yeah, I know they are favored by 7-points but ...

Billi Pod predicts==>(1) low scoring game; (2) defensive battle; (3) Gators score the first touchdown; and, (4) Gators win 16-13 on a last second field goal by Caleb Sturgis.

In the name of fair and unbiased reporting I must reveal that Billi Pod has put aside any notions of seeing a movie etc. for today. Yes, it will be all day and evening spent in front of the tube watching college football.

First will be Michigan vs. Ohio State, then Gators vs. Half Ass U, and then Notre Dame vs. USC.

How will he get in his usual 5 miles of walking I know you all are breathlessly asking your inner selves ... well ... selves ... maybe he will just give himself the day off. The last one he had was way back on October 29th and that was due to Hurricane Sandy.

OK, moving on ... OMFG! When will the clock start moving again ... when ... when???

Billi Pod’s report cards on yesterday’s doubleheader ...

GRACE, about a fundamentalist young couple trying to start a new life in sunny Florida by opening a chain of Gospel-themed motels==>D

Disappointing, dismal and depressing. Disliked it!! The only reason it didn’t get an F was because of a stellar acting performance from Michael Shannon in the role of the disfigured next door neighbor.

Billi Pod says==>you are warned - save your money.

Then for the evening ...

OY VEY! THE PLAY, about a wealthy widow, her three daughters, her son and her Rabbi, and what happens when a handsome stranger enters their lives==>B+

This comedy was funny, entertaining and very well acted. This was the first preview performance and there were a few line miscues but that really wasn’t a problem.

I totally enjoyed the show and recommend it to my loyal and faithful readers and followers in the Tri-State area. It runs through December 16th.

Billi Pod says==>See it.

Back a minute to sports. New York City is a tough town and we expect competitive performances from all of our sports teams. So, when a team doesn’t measure up, the criticism can be extremely brutal.

And brutal is just what has been the response to the awful performance this season by the NY Jets.

Here are today’s headlines in the 3 local papers ...

“IT’S OFFICIAL: JET’S ARE TRAIN WRECK.” - front page of Daily News

“CRACKIN’ UP. Rex, Jets continue to be butt of jokes thanks to Tebow’s RibGate.” - back page of Daily News

“PLEASE GOD, SAVE US! Angry fans pray for end to Jet hell.” - front page of NY Post

“HEAT’S ON REX FOR IST TIME. Post Poll Blames Coach for Jets’ Woes.” - back page of NY Post

“For Jets, A Debacle With Few Rivals.” - front page of sports section of NY Times

Yep, as I said, The Big Apple can be a tough town.

On this high note I will post this and spend some more time walking around PHC sucking on my thumb.
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.41 miles (or, 11,832 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>787.21

Mileage remaining until 4/23/13==>291.79

GO GATORS!!
