A Great NY PHILHARMONIC Concert & Thoughts on Timmy Tebow

I am happy to report to you loyal and faithful readers out there in the vastness of cyberspace that last night’s NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC concert was excellent.

Strauss’ Don Quixote didn’t effect me as much as I had anticipated but ... Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony was sublimely beautiful.

Before the concert, and at intermission, I had a nice visit with my seat mates for this series, Al and Irene Warshauer, who are both attorneys.

On Friday I will be seeing my second NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC concert of the week, this time with a comp. ticket. Details will be in Friday’s posting.

Today is a very interesting doubleheader for Billi Pod ...

2:00==>FRAGMENTS - “Five of Samuel Beckett’s short plays: Rough for Theatre I; Rockaby; Act without Words II; Neither; and, Come and Go.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show received a very favorable review from the New York Times theater critic.

And then for tonight ...

8:00==>BONNIE AND CLYDE - “This new musical tells the story of two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere who became the biggest folk heroes in all of America during the Great Depression.” (Broadway - discounted TDF ticket)

The show is in early previews for a December 1st opening. Advanced buzz is very favorable.

My FaceBook friend Kenny Howard’s company, Broadway Consortium, LLC, is one of the show’s producers.

Now some observations for my football friends out there ...

Isn’t it ironic that somehow the Denver Broncos are winning with Timmy Tebow as their starting Quarterback even though his “stats” and “style” aren’t up to “NFL standards?”

The Broncos play The Jets on Thursday night and the local papers are having a field-day with negative remarks about Timmy ... for example ...

“GOD HELP HIM! Revis: Tebow ‘O’ doesn’t have prayer vs. Jets” - back page of the NY Post

“ZZZZZ-BOW. Revis says Jet’s only concern is ‘falling asleep’ vs. Denver QB” - back page of The Daily News

Eventually the League and the press are gonna learn that Tim Tebow is a winner, who finds a way to lead his team to victory, in any way he can.

GO GATORS!!
