Billi Pod’s Report Card On TRICKS THE DEVIL TAUGHT ME==>BARF!!

Yes, I know that I just posted my awesome July 2011 entertainment stats and that you loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands are still mentally processing their awesomeness, but ... folks ... Billi Pod has more things and stuff to share with you ... like ...

His report card on TRICKS THE DEVIL TAUGHT ME==>F-<==this was every bit as terrible as my theater-nut friends had said, and then some. It is puke-inducingly bad. Barf and double-barf!!

It has every southern/western cliché imaginable shouted by unlikeable and unbelievable characters. Profanity is spewed nonstop from almost all of the female characters. The story line, if there is one, is incomprehensible.

Billi Pod fled in abject horror at intermission. He would have left sooner but his seat was in the second row, dead center, so he was trapped. When he left he joined a stream of like-minded audience members heading out of the theater.

So folks in the metropolitan New York area - stay far away from this piece of egomaniacal [egomaniacal because the playwright is also the director] dog crap==>it is puke inducing!!

The evening was saved, thankfully, by a nice walk back to PHC. The barf-event was down in The Village so I walked up 7th Avenue to 41st Street and then over to PHC, a distance of about 2.5 miles.

As I was walking back I was listening to the YANKEES/WHITESOX game on my trusty but now aged Walkman.

Phil Hughes had an excellent outing in a rain-delayed and then rain-shortened game. The Yankees won 6-0. Phil went a long way to regaining his place in the starting rotation.

Tonight I will meet up with John Scott Reed and we will have a late dinner at someplace in my ‘hood.

Scott attended the Brintney Spears concert last night at the Nassau Coliseum, on Long Island, with a ticket that was a surprise early-birthday gift from some of his gal-pals. Nice!! I am anxiously looking forward to the details.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!

This helps explain why this terrible "play" is about to close.

What a mess. When will the authorities shut this show down? He broke the law again? Where is Equity? Why are they not jumping in?

What can we do to stop this show? Do we just have to wait until people get screwed?

I heard today the show is closing. One cast member is about to quit.

What a mess. Has anyone asked Mr. Georges for an explanation. I went to tonygeorges.info and I think everyone should be asking this guy some questions.

It's bad enough the show sucks, but this guy is a thief.

This show is pathetic. I went with a group of 6 people. We had comps. We left at intermission.

It was the worst thing we have ever seen. Most of us are in the industry - we were shocked.

Why did anyone give any money to Tony Georges?

A dozen Reviews are in from Variety to Backstage.com to Broadway World - they all say Tricks The Devil Taught me is crap.

Billi was "spot on." And, honest.
