Sports Saturday Sucked!!/Heathers/Under My Skin

Sunday==>Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace, Saturday certainly didn’t turn out as your favorite blogger hoped/anticipated.

Yep, his SPORTS SATURDAY can best be described as “puke inducing.”

First up was the Yankees/Blue Jays game, which The Wankies lost 4-0, as our anemic offense squandered an excellent performance from Michael Pineda, in his first game since September 9, 2011. Barf!

Then, as you know, The Gators got their asses kicked by UConn, losing 63-53, in a game which began with us having a 16-4 lead after 11-minutes. Dammit, from that point forward it was all down hill for my Gators, in their second loss to The Huskies. Double Barf!!

Man, was this a painful game to watch.

We ended the season with a record of 36-3 and it was an awesome run ... so ... it is still ...

GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!

Moving on ...

Today will be another entertainment doubleheader for your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In the World.

The first event is an Off Broadway show ...

3:00==>HEATHERS - “In this musical stage version of the 1989 dark comedy movie an unhappy teenager and her rebellious new boyfriend team up to rid their school of its most popular, cruelest and toxic students.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show just opened to mostly very favorable reviews.

It is playing at The New World Stages on West 50th Street, has a running time of 2:15, with intermission, and runs through September 7th.

The second event is another Off Broadway show, in early previews ...

7:00==>UNDER MY SKIN - “A twist of fate leads to love and laughs when New York's most eligible bachelor and a single, working mother switch bodies and experience each other's lives and see things from a very different perspective.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show has just started previews, opens on May 15th, is playing at The Little Shubert Theatre on West 42nd Street, right next door to my apartment, has a running time of 1:45, with intermission, and runs through July 6th.

The fact that this show is playing at The Little Schubert doesn’t bode well, since a majority of the shows that have played there have been stinkers that were ripped apart by the critics.

Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, this is Billi Pod’s entertainment schedule for today ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.26 miles (or, 9,315 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>328.07 miles (average 3.45 miles per day)

GO GATORS & GO YANKEES!!
