Let’s get started with Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE==>A<==wonderfully performed and thought provoking, with just a touch of humor. Yeah, I know, it is hard to derive humor out of memories of the Holocaust and beginning dementia, but the playwright effectively pulls it off.
The cast is awesome and Donna Murphy more than earned her Tony nomination for Best Actress In A Musical.
See it, if you can.
Speaking of the Tony nominations==>as was expected THE BOOK OF MORMON received the most nominations, followed by the long-ago-closed THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, which Billi Pod never got around to seeing, dammit.
I will post about the awards in more detail later. (OK, dammit, hold the f**king applause. Don’t make Billi Pod come down there and bitch slap you because I know who you are and where you f**king live ... all of you!!).
And speaking of f**king==>THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT received a nomination for Best Play. Go f**king figure because certainly Billi Pod can’t.
Also, the nominating committee totally snubbed Daniel Radcliffe from HOW TO SUCCEED AT BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING ... WTF?
Also snubbed were Chris Rock and Robin Williams ... WTF?
Anyway, tonight’s entertainment event is ...
