New York City is a classy place to live and nothing typifies it more than the professionalism exhibited by the reporting in our three daily newspapers. Every morning when I read the front pages of these papers it makes me truly appreciate how important fair and impartial journalism is in today’s troubled society and how much I enjoy living in The Big Apple.
A perfect example of the in-depth reportage available up here can be found in this morning’s front page headlines in The Post and The Daily News, and inside The New York Times.

Yes, indeed, this coverage makes me proud to be living in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. Keep it up guys and gals, keep it up ... I mean ... errrrrrrr ... I mean ... well you know what I mean ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s GOOD PEOPLE==>B+<==excellent acting although I never identified with any of the characters, a couple of which I just wanted to bitch-slap and tell to shut the f**k up.
And, every one of the middle-aged female characters repeatedly used the f-word, with also a large dose of the s**t word. But, what the heck, it is set in Boston and what do you expect out of Bostonians, right ... anyway ...
Today is a doubleheader for Billi Pod ...
2:00==>NAVY PIER - “Examines the relationship between two college friends who are aspiring writers - one makes it and the other doesn’t.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket). This is playing at a theater on my block.
Then, tonight is ...
7:05==>YANKEES vs. BOSTON F**KSOX, with a stellar pitching matchup - CC Sabathia vs. Josh Beckett.
Last night the Yankees lost 4-5 in a game they could/should have won. I am soooooooooo glad Billi Pod didn’t stay in to watch the game although he was back in PHC in time to catch the last two innings.
Once again the Yankees squandered scoring opportunity after scoring opportunity with their ineffective bats.
Needless-to-say there is a lot of very negative coverage in the papers and on TV.
OK, on to some other stuff ... the first street fair of the season in my ‘hood is just getting started on 9th Avenue from 42nd Street up to 57th Street. It will be running today and tomorrow. Will post this and then go scope it out.
Oh, my May 12th blog posting is still missing. Isn’t that weird.

Re: NY papers: Just suck it up Bill. Although some of us could care less about what OBL collected, making that stuff public somehow makes benLaden seem comical. After the destruction and death he caused in NYC the papers are entitled to mock him.
