Tonight==>THE ALL-AMERICAN GENDERF*CK CABARET

As I mentioned in yesterday’s posting, I didn’t have anything scheduled for this evening, but I was certain that something of interest would show up ... and ... tada ... it did.

What is it you are no doubt breathlessly asking? Well, folks, you might have gotten a slight hint with the picture and title line, so here are the details ...

8:00==>THE ALL-AMERICAN GENDERF*CK CABARET - “A bold and entertaining discussion of gender identity. This is the comedic story of 8 gender stereotypes: a feminist lesbian; a gay best friend; a tomboy; a nice guy; a slut; a player; a manly man; a girly girl; and, a none-of-the-above.” (Off-Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket).

Yeah, I know. I had the choice of probably 35 entertainment options for tonight and I selected this one, but, folks, this is the kind of “humor” that Billi Pod enjoys and it also sounds interesting, so ... will give my usual honest and unbiased report card on it in tomorrow’s posting.

It was freezing cold at last night’s YANKEES/RANGERS game and my buddy and seatmate Erik was there with his posse.

The Yankees lost 3-5, hitting into a franchise-record 6 double plays. Ivan Nova was ineffective, with no control of the strike-zone.

For the 6th inning Girardi brought in Lance Pendleton, who was in Scranton, PA, at 3:10pm when he received the call that he had been placed on the Yankee roster. He drove to the Bronx, arriving around 5:30pm and around 9:00pm he was on the mound facing the AL Champions. Can you even imagine what was going through his mind?

Well, it was an awesome major league debut. He pitched 3 innings and didn’t give up a hit or a walk, striking out 2. He was the only bright spot in a game that was very very hard to watch, not taking into account the frigid weather.

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers, Billi Pod was there ‘til the bitter end, even though Erik and his posse left at the top of the 7th inning. Oh, I can't wait to tell my other buds about this.

Oh, forgot to mention==>Pendleton takes the roster spot of right-hander Phil Hughes, the No. 3 starter who went on the 15-day disabled list Friday with what the Yankees are calling a "dead arm."

Yeah, I know it is early in the season, but the Yankee rotation is in serious disarray and Billi Pod is worried, big time.

This afternoon I will stay in the warm confines of PHC and watch the second game of the YANKEES/RANGERS series.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
