SHINE ON TONIGHT!!

Thanks to John Scott Reed, who is Director of Operations for Flying Television, tonight my dear friend Dian Crystal and I will be attending the highly anticipated SHINE ON Benefit @ Radio City Music Hall.

This star-studded gala event is sponsored and produced by Good Housekeeping and celebrates Woman Making History. The event benefits the National Women’s History Museum in Washington, D.C., which is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and celebrating the diverse historic contributions of women.

Rebecca Romijn is the host with special guests Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Fran Drescher, Eve and many others.

We are both really charged and looking forward to this special event. Thanks again Scott!!

And speaking of Scott, last night I finally dragged him out of his office (not joking it was around 9:30pm) and we had a late dinner at Angus McIndoe, where we ran into our mutual friend John McDaniel, who is Music Director for the recently opened CATCH ME IF YOU CAN.

On another topic ... you know ... sometimes the New York City Theater World is hard to decipher, let alone understand. What do I mean by this?

Well, a show that most of my friends and I really enjoyed, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, recently opened to very mediocre reviews (giving the show the benefit of the doubt there too) while MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT, which I and most of my theater buds f-ing hated, just opened to mostly highly favorable reviews, including a rave review from The New York Times.

You know, Billi Pod hated this show so much that he left at intermission. Maybe he should have stayed on and endured the agony until the bitter end. Would his opinion be different? Who knows.

Bobby Cannavale received excellent notices while Chris Rock, who is making his Broadway debut, was a mixed bag, with some raves and some negatives.

Oh, well ... ‘tis a puzzlement.

Another topic and another observation==>The Boston F**kSox got the crap beaten out of them last night in that cesspool known as Fenway Park. Yes, The Rays beat them 16-5, giving the Suxs a record of 2-8, tied for last place in the AL East. Yes!!

In response to several recent emails==>I don’t care a flippin f about what happens to The Mets. I only care when they play my Yankees. Sorry, but this is how I feel.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
