Tuesday==>Yucky Day!!

Wednesday==>Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the wilderness, boondocks and hinterlands ... yesterday was basically a yucky day for your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

Yeah ... it lightly rained for most of the day and into the evening, when it got heavier, resulting in a 91-minute delay of the YANKEES/METS game out at Citi Field.

I did virtually nothing yesterday, other than a visit to The Food Emporium across the street from my apartment. Otherwise I just wandered restlessly around PHC until it was time for the game to start, and then came the rain delay. Yuck!!

When the game finally out underway it was the pitchers duel that everyone expected, Hiroki Kuroda for the Yankees vs. rising star Matt Harvey for the Mets. Both pitchers were terrific.

The Yankees had a 1-0 lead going into the bottom on the 9th and enter The Sandman, our closer Mariano Rivera. It should have been over, right? Wrong! 

Mo blew his first 2013 save and then gave up the winning run and the Mets won 2-1. WTF???

Not a nice way to end a yucky day. Oh well ...

So ... what about tonight? Well ... I will head out to Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, for the 7:05pm game against The Mets, game #3 of the 4-game Subway Series. The game is part of my partial season ticket package.

The weather is kinda iffy with the forecast of a 30% chance of rain at game time.

It will be David Phelps (3-2) on the mound for The Bronx Bombers vs. Jeremy Hefner (0-5) for The Mets.

Moving on ...

I need to share that I am seriously rethinking my previously announced decision to stay in the rest of the week to watch baseball, Mets and then The Boston FuckSox. Stay tuned.

Yesterday’s nasty weather seriously curtailed my walking and if I have any chance of reaching 1,700 miles by July lst I will have to record some major mileage over the next several days ... so ... will post this and head out. Will also head out to The Stadium a bit early for some walking time inside The House That Greed And Ego Built.
