BASILICA==>B

Friday==>TGIF to all of my Worker Bee readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace.

Just keep at it guys and gals until the clock reaches 5:00pm and then you can leave your cubicles, broom closets, wait-stations etc. and begin your weekend.

Remember ... your bosses are watching you so don’t even consider leaving early.

OK ... now on to important things ... like ... Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s Off Broadway show ...

BASILICA, about a family in small-town Texas trying to hold on to its secrets==>B

Very emotional with lots of anger, screaming and cussing, which gets old, redundant and irritating by the end of the show.

With the exception of the teenage son, played wonderfully by Jake Cannavale, none of the characters are the least bit likable.

Don’t expect a “feel-good” ending because there ain’t one.

The show’s running time is 2:10 with an intermission. It needs trimming, and, IMHO, would work better at 90-minutes, without intermission.

It is, however, worth seeing with either a comp. or discounted ticket.

Before and after the show I listened to the Yankee/Seattle game on my new Walkman. As you sports fans know, The Bronx Bombers lost 3-2 in a game where they failed, on numerous occasions, to get hits with runners in scoring position.

And ... WTF? ... the Injury Demon is still plaguing us because Andy Pettitte had to leave the game in the 5th inning with a “tight left trapezius muscle.” It is unclear when he will be available again. WTF??

As it turns out ... tonight’s entertainment event is ... tada ...

7:05==>YANKEES/TORONTO @ Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built. (1/2 price ticket)

This is the first game of a 3-game series. On the mound for the Yankees will be Hiroki Kuroda (5-2) vs. Mark Buehrle (1-2) for the Blue Jays.

I am seeing the game with a discounted ticket obtained through one of my ticket services. The seat is on the same level as my season ticket package but more toward right field. I hope to sneak over to my season ticket seat, which is unsold at the moment (ain’t technology great?).

The weather is supposed to be great, 68º @ game time.

And ... speaking of “tickets” and “great” ... how about this ...

Your favorite blogger was just able to score an awesome, full-price, orchestra seat to the July 3rd performance of the critically acclaimed Broadway show LUCKY GUY, starring Tom Hanks

This is the next-to-last performance of the extended run. How ‘bout dat?

On that happy note ...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

WOW!! I am closing in on 1,500 miles since July 1, 2012 ... AWESOME!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.10 miles (or, 6.791 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,491.04 miles

GO YANKEES!!
