TGIF - Fault Lines - The Yankees/Boston FuckSox

Friday==>A huge TGIF shout-out to all of my Worker Bee friends out there in the morass known as cyberspace.

Yes ... Billi Pod knows that your weekend can’t begin until at least 5:05pm this afternoon ... but ...

Billi Pod will help your boring day pass faster by giving you the benefit of his report card on last night’s entertainment event ...

The Off Broadway show ...

FAULT LINES, Jim and Bill get together to celebrate Bill's thirty-ninth birthday. When they meet Joe, who's slightly older and odder, their boys' night out quickly turns sour as together they attempt to delineate loyalty, conviction and betrayal==>A.

The story line in this extremely well-performed drama, with a touch of comedy, has many plot twists, some which you see coming and others that are totally unexpected and gasp inducing.

What starts out as a catching-up bar and pool meeting of longtime friends quickly changes with the arrival of a mysterious stranger, Joe, who starts asking personal questions, especially regarding Bill’s marriage.

I can’t say much more without giving away what makes this play a totally enjoyable theater experience. The dialogue is brittle, blunt and also wonderfully cryptic when it needs to be.

I guess you need to be warned that it is extremely profane with a lot of frat-boy humor and over-the-top graphic sexual discussions.

Billi Pod says==>definitely worth seeing.

This revival of Stephen Belber’s well-received 2007 play is playing at the TBG Theater on West 36th Street, has a running time of 1:25, without intermission, and runs through September 20th.

Moving on to today ...

At the moment Billi Pod's entertainment plans are in flux ... so ... stay tuned.

Now ... on the sports scene ...

Last night out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, The Yankees (72-66) beat those despicable Boston FuckSox (61-79) 5-4 on solo homers from Mark Teixeira and Chase Headley in the bottom of the 9th inning. YES!!

Thank goodness I was back in PHC in time to catch the final 2-innings of this crucial game. With the win our hopes of advancing to the playoffs remain alive, if just barely.

Tonight at 7:05pm, out at the stadium, is the first game of a 3-game series against Kansas City (77-61) who are leading the AL West.

On the mound for The Yankees will be Michael Pineda (3-2) vs. James Shields (12-7) for The Royals.

Moving on ...

Your favorite blogger expects to reach and then surpass a walking milestone sometime today here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In the World.

Yeah ... sometime today Billi Pod’s WeightWatchers Pedometer will record 1,000 miles walked beginning on January 1, 2014. Not bad ... not bad at all ...

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, time to post this and then get back to the task of preparing the bachelor pad known as PHC for the much anticipated arrival of Sandy Mullon next week.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.01 miles (or, 8,762 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>998.95 miles (average 4.04 miles per day)

GO GATORS!! GO YANKEES!!
