Get Back To Work - My Manana Comes - The Yankees

Tuesday==>I hope everyone out there in the morass known as cyberspace had an excellent extended Labor Day Weekend because it is now time to get BACK TO WORK in order to support our Gross National Product so that we poor retirees can continue to eke by on our minuscule pensions.

Stop your bitching and moaning ... just get BACK TO WORK, ASAP!!

Anyway ...

On Labor Day your favorite blogger spent most of the day and evening in front of his TV watching sports, baseball and college football.

The most exciting event was the Phillies/Braves game where Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels and the bullpen combined to pitch a no-hitter, shutting out The Braves 7-0.

Billi Pod did leave the cozy confines of PHC to have a nice walk and wander session in his Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood and that resulted in a pretty good mileage day==>5.02 miles.

But enough about yesterday ... let’s move on to today ...

Since your favorite blogger gave himself the day-off yesterday, in honor of Labor Day, he didn’t do his usual errands and chores ... so ... that will be the first thing that needs to get done.

Then ... for the evening he has an Off Broadway show ...

7:30==>MY MANANA COMES - “Just beyond the elegant dining room of an Upper East Side restaurant, four busboys angle for shifts, pray for tips, and cling to dreams of life beyond their dingy back-of-house grind. Expertly juggling delicate entrees, fussy customers and beer-swilling line cooks, the young men face off with management and each other.” (Off Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket)

This show is playing at the Playwrights Horizons Complex right next door to my apartment building on West 42nd Street, has a running time of 1:35, without intermission, and runs through September 20th.

Closing out with some brief sports ...

The Yankees had the day off yesterday.

Tonight at 7:05pm out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, will be the first game of a crucial 3-game series against those loathsome and pathetic Boston FuckSox, who, as you know, are buried in last place in the AL East.

On the mound for The Yankees (70-65) will be the rookie Shane Greene (4-1) vs. Joe Kelly (2-3) for The FuckSox (60-77)

What a fall from grace for The FuckSox ... I mean, really ... from defending World Series Champions to last place in the Division. Doesn’t get any worse than this ... NICE!!

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, got tons of things and stuff to do ... so ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.02 miles (or, 10,969 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>986.25 miles (average 4.04 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!! GO GATORS!!
