Happy Birthday Ann N. Parker - 1,000+ Walking Miles - Sports

Saturday==>A HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to my sister ANN N. PARKER, who now lives in Palm Springs, CA.

WOW!! Me @ 80 and you @ 77==>who would have thunk it?

I guess we are like fine wine ... we have improved as we have aged ... so ...

Have a great day Sister-of-Mine!

And speaking of milestones==>1,000+ miles since January 1, 2014

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, by midnight last night your favorite blogger had met and surpassed the 1,000 mile mark, as recorded on his WeightWatchers Pedometer.

The 4.10 miles recorded brought the yearly total-to-date to 1,003.05 miles, which averages out to be 4.05 miles per day. If I can maintain this pace I should be able to reach 1,500 miles by midnight on December 31, 2014 ... so ... that will be Billi Pod’s next walking goal.

OK, now ... in the name of fair and unbiased reporting, I have to admit that yesterday was mostly spent doing some major cleaning in PHC in anticipation of the upcoming visit from Sandy Mullon aka Island Girl and in front of my 42” flat screen TV watching sports, baseball and college football.

And ... gasp ... that’s pretty much what I am going to do today and possibly even tomorrow ... so ... stay tuned ...

Now on the sports scene ...

Last night out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, The Yankees (72-67) lost a heartbreaker to The Royals (78-61) by a score of 1-0 as James Shields totally shut us down.

The loss wasted a stellar outing from Michael Pineda who gave up only 1 unearned run, which was the winning run, dammit.

This afternoon at 4:05pm (why this strange time I have no clue) will be the second game of the 3-game series.

On the mound for The Yankees will be Brandon McCarthy (5-4) vs. Danny Duff (8-11) for The Royals.

Moving on ...

Also at 4:00pm will be the Florida vs. East Manatee Jr. College at The Swamp and ... what? ... are you sure? ... OK ... sorry folks ... I am informed that The Gators will be playing Eastern Michigan University and that we are favored by only 38 points. Rain is in the forecast.

The game will be carried locally on the SEC Network and that makes me very happy.

Now it is back to work time ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.10 miles (or, 8,959 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>1,003.05 miles (average 4.05 miles per day)

GO GATORS!! GO YANKEES!!
