Report on Day Three of Polly and Matt’s Big Apple Adventure

Saturday==>Man, it is still freezing cold here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. At noon it is only 27º, wind chill 23º and the projected high will only be 29º. Enough already ... jeez ...

Ain’t nuttin’ I can do about it ... so ... let’s get started with Billi Pod’s report on Day Three of Polly and Matt’s Big Apple Adventure ...

Yesterday, on their own, they did some major tourist stuff which included visits to the Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

They also walked across Central Park despite the cold and icy conditions. Good for them!!

At 7:00pm I met them at their hotel, the Marriott Marquis at 45th and Broadway, and then we walked over to the Hudson Theater on West 44th Street, the site of our 8:00pm entertainment event, a rock concert ...

8:00==>ACROSS THE UNIVERSE BEATLES MUSIC FESTIVAL, a line-up of great bands playing their versions of the Beatles' classics.

When we got there the box office wasn’t open so we very carefully walked around the ‘hood as I pointed out several interesting locations, including The Algonquin Hotel.

When we got back to the venue and picked up our comp. tix we began a rather extended and unpleasant time waiting for the doors to open. We were told that the delay was a result of extended sound checks.

I explained to Polly that this was not unusual at rock concerts, the waiting that is, but frankly, she wasn’t buying it.

When the doors were finally opened we found decent seats. The seating was general admission in our area.

Yes, Mizz Mounts was ready to experience her first ever rock concert and we have photographic proof if she ever tries to deny it.

The concert was a series of bands that each played their versions of classic Beatles songs.

It was a bit slow in the beginning but it got better and better. At a little after 10:00pm they announced a 12-minute break. At this point we decided that we would split and we did.

Matt and I are extremely grateful that we had the opportunity to expose Mizz Mounts to the World of Rock Music. The jury is still out on the issue of whether she is gonna become one of us rock groupies. Time will tell.

We made plans for Saturday and then split. It had been a long, interesting and exhausting day for them.

What about today?

Well, today Polly and Matt are going to do some more touristy stuff, including The Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. I advised them to allow plenty of time for the Empire State Building because there are always long lines, regardless of the weather.

This evening @ 7:00pm we will meet up at one of my favorite restaurants in The Theater District, Angus Bistro, on West 44th Street, for what I have labeled as their Last Night In The Big Apple Dinner.

They will be returning to warm and comfortable Florida tomorrow.

Moving on ...

OK ... now a bit of sports ... yes ... for you Marty ... and it is long-overdue ...

As most of you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, on Friday A-Rod withdrew his federal lawsuits against Major League Baseball and the players union and accepted his suspension for the upcoming 2014 season. He also announced that he would not be attending spring training (it had been speculated that he might).

As expected this generated a media firestorm here, with the following headlines ...

Interestingly, the only reason the details of the Arbitration decision become public was due to the filing of the lawsuits. Otherwise, under the terms of the Arbitration Agreement everything is kept secret.

Also remember, A-Rod has never been questioned under-oath regarding this doping scandal.

Does this mean A-Rod is going to fade away? Well, yes ... for just a bit ... then the next chapter will develop and that will be the filing of legal malpractice lawsuits against his present army of predatory drones.

Remember, Billi Pod made this prediction back on January 14, 2014 ...

“Prediction==>When all of A-Rod’s pending state and federal lawsuits against everyone are summarily dismissed, he will then file a major legal malpractice lawsuit against his current legal team, alleging, among other things, that he wanted to strike a deal with MLB but his lawyers advised him against it.”

On this happy note ...

STAY WARM EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.65 miles (or, 7,985 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>112.43 miles (average 2.96 miles per day)

I'm glad you seem to be commenting less on those groups of grown (?) men playing with their balls but I'm confused. You mention this "A-Rod" who I can only assume is the new "big thing" in gay porn. With a name like that what else could it be? I've looked everywhere but can't find him in any films. Please be specific in your reporting so I can stay up to date on this important topic. Thanks.
