Report on Day Four of Polly and Matt’s Big Apple Adventure

Sunday==>Good morning to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace.

Your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, must report that it is another bright but very cold day here in Gotham City. At 9:30am it is 27º, wind chill 23º. Once again it is projected that the high will not pass the freezing level.

Let’s move on to Billi Pod’s report on Day Four of Polly and Matt’s Big Apple Adventure.

Yesterday, on their own, they took in both The Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center, heading up into the clouds at both places.

The picture of Polly was taken at The Empire State Building.

The picture of Matt was taken at 30 Rock.

They reported to me that the lines at both places were manageable and that was very good.

After they finished up with Rockefeller Center they came back to their hotel and chilled and then it was time for us to meet up.

At 7:00pm we met at Angus Bistro on West 44th Street, one of my favorite Theater District restaurants, for their Last Night In The Big Apple Dinner.

We very leisurely ate because this was to be our entertainment event for the evening. We had a great meal, with way too much food, including deserts.

It was after 9:00pm when we split. It had been another totally enjoyable day for them in The Big Apple, and, of course, for me, too.

Moving on ...

This morning, at 10:00am I will meet them at their hotel and we will take the elevator up to The View, on the top floor of the Marriott Marquis, for what I have named their ...

“OK, IT’S TIME TO HEAD HOME, SO LONG, FAREWELL, AUF WEIDERSEHEN, GOODBYE”

breakfast. Yeah, as "they" say ... all good things must come to an end.

Their flight back to warm and comfortable West Palm Beach leaves out of JFK in the mid-afternoon.

Details about breakfast will be in a later posting, which will, of course, mark the end of Polly and Matt’s fifteen minutes of fame, brought about, as you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, by Billi Pod Blogs.

Hopefully, their flight(s) will not encounter the dreaded Norris Travel Curse.

Moving on ...

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for today is an Off Broadway show ...

3:00==>PHILOSOPHY FOR GANGSTERS - “Mafia heiress Callie Rizzoli has a lot on her plate. A street gang is fighting to take over her territory. She wants to make someone pay for her parents’ deaths. To top it off, she and the philosopher she’s kidnapped are lifted to top slot on the FBI’s Most Wanted List.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This comedy is playing at the Theatre Row complex on my block on West 42nd Street and runs through March 1st. Thus far I haven’t been able to dredge up the running time.

OK ... gotta get ready to meet Polly and Matt ... so ...

STAY WARM EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.01 miles (or, 4,405 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>114.44 miles (average 2.93 miles per day)
