YEAR OF THE ROOSTER==>A

Saturday==>Had a great time yesterday at lunch with Dian Crystal aka My Lady, Marty Kosarik aka Whatever and Cathy Altholz at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant, Meske, located on West 47th Street in my Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood.

We each ordered the same thing, as usual, the Vegetarian Platter and it was great, also as usual.

It had been awhile since this team had been together, so we had a lot of catching up to do, including getting the details on Marty's awesome upcoming trip to Hawaii. This will be his 12th visit there. He gave us the details and said it would be OK for me to share them with you ... so ...

He leaves NYC on Sunday the 10th and will fly (of course) to Hawaii where he will spend two weeks, alone, at Haena, a small land division on the northwest corner of the Island of Kauai. In his own words: “This is the most spectacular place on Earth I have found, but I’ll keep looking.”

Then he will meet up with some family members: Uncle Joe, his wife Fran and their son Thomas; and, his brother Jim, Jim’s wife Vickie and their children Joey and Jessica, at a resort area in Hanalei located on Kauai, Hawaii’s 4th largest island.

They will be there for a week, doing a lot of things and stuff. WOW!! Marty will then return to NYC on December 2nd.

So ... Marty ... from Dian, Cathy and Billi Pod==>have a great time!!

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s entertainment event, the Off Broadway show ...

YEAR OF THE ROOSTER: Wake The F**k Up, about a nerd who seeks hope, victory and revenge with his awesome fighting rooster named Odysseus Rex==>A

Folks, this show is in-your-face raw, profane and very very funny. I laughed a lot.

The acting is outstanding, especially Bobby Moreno as the rooster Odysseus Rex, an extremely physical role.

The house was full and everyone seemed to be really enjoying the show.

Billi Pod says==>if you are in need of a lot of belly-laughs then this is the show for you.

It is playing at The Medicine Show Theatre on West 52nd Street, has a running time of 2:00, with intermission, and runs through November 24th.

Moving on ...

This afternoon is gonna be college football from the warm and cozy confines of PHC.

Unfortunately, the noon Gator/Vandy Homecoming game from The Swamp is not carried locally, dammit.

If we are to avoid our first losing season since 1979 then we gotta win this game. We are favored by 10-points.

The offense is last in the SEC, the once-mighty defense is floundering and the kicking game missed two field goals during the 3-point loss to Georgia. Hopefully, this game won’t depend on our absent kicking game.

Also, the Gators are on track to the lead the league in penalties for the third straight season and continue to commit way too many personal fouls. This lack of discipline is totally the fault of Coach Muskrat.

My gut tells me it will be a very close game for 3 quarters then the Gators will slowly pull away for a 14-point win.

GO GATORS!!

Moving on some more ...

Tonight’s entertainment event will be an Off Broadway show ...

8:15==>WITNESSED BY THE WORLD - “This New York premiere work, which marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, traces a hard-hitting journalist who digs into Jack Ruby's role in the JFK assassination only to find disastrous results.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show is in very early previews, is playing at the 59E59 Theatre Complex (one of my favorite venues), has a running time of 1:30, without intermission) and runs through December 15th.

I will close this posting by sharing with you loyal and faithful readers and followers a picture of my son, Bill III aka The Bill, (on the far left, of course) and the Lake Howell High School Boys Golf team, which just finished their best season in years, which I, of course, attribute to their new coach, whose name is ... tada ... William Norris ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.99 miles (or, 8,723 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>445.93 miles (average 3.40 miles per day)

GO GATORS!!
