Friday==>BLAH!

Saturday==>Yesterday was a totally blah day for your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

The heat wave made going outside for even the simplest things virtually unbearable. At mid-afternoon the heat index was 105ยบ. With that in mind I opted not to venture out of the cool confines of PHC to see the movie that I had originally planned.

I did get a few long-over-due household chores done and that was good. Before I knew it, it was time for my so-called evening’s entertainment event, watching the YANKEES/BOSTON FUCKSOX game which began at 7:05pm at the ancient and decrepit junkyard known as Fenway Park.

Well, as you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, The Wankies lost 4-2 in a game they were never really in, as our bats remain dormant. It was a very difficult game to watch, trust me on this.

We also lost another player to the DL, Zoilo Almante (who??). Oh, and Derek Jeter is back on the DL due to his strained right quadriceps.

With the loss The Yankees are now 7-games behind The FuckSox in the AL East.

So ... it wasn’t a very good day. Oh well, it is over, so ... let’s move on to today’s events.

Today is going to be an entertainment doubleheader, starting with ...

2:00==>I FORGIVE YOU, RONALD REAGAN - “Tracks the long-term effects on one family of the air-traffic-controller strike busted by Ronald Reagan in 1981.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

The show is playing at the Theatre Row complex on my block and is in early previews. It has generated no advance buzz.

When the show is over I will come back to PHC to watch the 4:05pm YANKEES/FUCKSOX game.

On the mound for The Yankees will be Hiroki Kuroda (8-6) vs. John Lackey (7-6) for the FuckSox.

Then for the evening is something very very different way down in The Lower Eastside ...

10:00==>THE LOUDEST SHOW ON EARTH! - “An exploration of the queer urban existence as seen through the eyes of two of the queerest urbanites to exist, Lea DeLaria and Maggie Cassella, two rageful, opinionated, Italian, dyke comics.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

I will be seeing this “event” with my theater-buddy Marty Kosarik aka Whatever ... and all I can say is==>WTF were we thinking when we booked this show? WTF???

Anyway ... I hope everyone has a GREAT WEEKEND.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.17 miles (or, 4,759 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>72.37 miles (average 3.81 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
