THE DRAWER BOY==>A-

Monday==>I hope that each and everyone of my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the hinterlands, wastelands and boondocks had an AWESOME weekend because your favorite blogger certainly did.

So ... why don’t we get this Back-To-Work-Monday started with Billi Pod’s report cards on his third consecutive entertainment doubleheader ... starting with ...

THE DRAWER BOY, about an eager young actor/playwright who disrupts the life of two WWII vets on their farm in rural Ontario in 1972==>A-

The acting is totally outstanding and the story line is both funny and deeply poignant as it explores the bonds of friendship against the realities of tragedies and then the healing process.

Folks, this was excellent theater.

The show is playing at the June Havoc Theatre in the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex on West 36th Street and runs through March 23rd.

Billi Pod says==>see this if you can.

When the show was over I came back to PHC for a quick fruit and cheese snack and then it was time to walk up to 51st Street to The Irish Arts Center for my second entertainment event, which was ...

SUNDAYS AT SEVEN, the long running comedy show==>A

The program was very funny, especially the twins, Stone and Stone. The audience, including Billi Pod, was very much into the show. It was a perfect way to end the weekend and I am so glad that I booked it.

I am looking forward to many return visits.

Moving on ...

As most of you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, today is Monday and that means it will be errands and stuff for Billi Pod once he finishes this posting.

His entertainment event for the evening is ...

7:00==>ODYSSEY ROOM - “Three estranged friends meet at their condemned middle school on the day before its demolition. A little more than memories come out of the woodwork in this vivid, honest and haunting tale.” (Off Broadway - free ticket)

This is part of the Manhattan Theatre Club’s 7@7 Reading Series and I will be attending as a guest of my theater-buddy Dian Crystal aka My Lady.

Our plans at the moment are to catch a bite after the show at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant, Meske, on West 47th Street in my Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood.

Moving on some more ...

I hate to end this posting on a negative note ... but ... Billi Pod has a responsibility to you loyal and faithful readers and followers to “tell-it-like-it-is”
so ...

Someone close to Justin Bieber needs to, first, bitch-slap him to get his attention and then make him listen to Bad Company’s SHOOTING STAR ... especially ...
********
“Don't you know that you are a shooting star
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are, a shooting star

Johnny died one night, died in his bed
Bottle of whiskey, sleepin' tablets by his head
Johnny's life passed him by like a warm summer day
If you listen to the wind, you can still hear him play...”
*******
Then, load it onto his iPod and make him listen to it at least once a day.

Jus sayin ...

OK ... it is now time to post this and begin my errands and chores and stuff.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.76 miles (or, 8,227 steps)

Total mileage for week==>26.29 miles (average 3.76 miles per day)

GO GATORS AND GO YANKEES!!
