I Am Tired Of This Nasty-Ass Weather!!

Tuesday==>It is an overcast and nasty morning in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. We had snow last night but luckily the overnight accumulations have melted and the sidewalks and crosswalks are passable. Man, am I tired of this nasty-ass weather.

Last night my theater-buddy Dian Crystal aka My Lady and I braved the elements to venture up to The Manhattan Theatre Club @ City Center on West 55th Street for our evening’s entertainment event, the staged reading of ...

THE MORNING THE SUN FELL DOWN, about a majorly dysfunctional family. It was interesting and thought-provoking. The cast was amazing, headed by Winnie Holzman in the role of The Mother. She co-wrote the mega-hit musical "Wicked."

Glad I got to see this show in its early formulation. Thanks, My Lady, for the invitation.

When the show was over we discovered that it had heavily snowed and the sidewalks were covered with accumulated snow and slush. I opted to play it safe and subway back to PHC, but My Lady defied the elements and walked the almost 3-miles back to her downtown apartment. WOW!!

Moving on ...

Tonight Billi Pod has a new musical, in early previews ...

7:00==>HONKY - “A darkly comedic look at five people, white and black, as they navigate the muddy waters of race, advertising and basketball shoes. When violence erupts in a black community over a pair of basketball shoes, sales triple among white teens. The company’s CEO is elated. A look at the symbiotic relationship between racism and commercialism.” (Off Broadway)

Yes, in the name of fair and unbiased reporting your favorite blogger must admit to having serious misgivings in advance about this show, but it is being presented at The Urban Stages and they usually have excellent work(s). It is in very early previews so there isn’t any advance buzz ... so ... we will just have to wait and see.

Moving on ...

Moving on some more ...

Actually it isn’t moving on at all ... again, in the name of fair and unbiased reporting, Billi Pod must admit to you loyal and faithful readers and followers that the combination of nasty weather and the death of some of his housing options has pretty much left him in a deep funk.

At the moment all he wants to do is assume the fetal position and suck his thumb ... so ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.41 miles (or, 5,268 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,248.63 miles
