Weather - College Football Saturday - Pocatello

Sunday==>It is a beautiful looking day here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. It is sunny with azure blue skies and just a few puffy clouds.

The only problem ... it’s cold. Yeah, at 11:00am it is 38º and the 17 mph wind coming off The Hudson River brings the wind chill temperature down to 29º. Brrrrrrr!!

This is a problem for your favorite blogger because he is mightily antsy having spent all of yesterday in a couch potato modality watching college football from noon until after midnight.

There were two positives about being in a couch potato modality...

(1) The games were a lot of fun to watch:

(a) Alabama rolled over Missouri 42-31 to win its 24th SEC Championship and securing a place in the College Football Playoffs. Congrats to Bill III aka The Bill;

(b) Florida State survived Georgia Tech in a nail-biting 37-35 win to remain undefeated and stay in the hunt for one of the 2 remaining playoff slots. Congrats to Sandy Mullon aka Island Girl; and,

(c) Ohio State crushed Wisconsin 59-0 to make a strong case for inclusion in the playoffs.

and,

(2) His walking regimen (walking around the apartment during time-outs and possession changes) during the games allowed him to record 4.11 miles on the WeightWatchers Pedometer by the time midnight finally arrived.

Speaking of walking ... in 2013 I walked a total of 1,368.18 miles (average 3.75 miles per day). Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, for 2014 Billi Pod is now at 1,369.38 miles (average 4.03 miles per day), with, of course, more to come before midnight on December 31st. YES!!

I know that this afternoon I will have to leave the apartment and do some walking somewhere, cold weather be damned.

Moving on ...

Tonight’s entertainment event is an Off Broadway show ...

7:30==>POCATELLO - “Eddie manages an Italian chain restaurant in Pocatello - a small, unexceptional American city that is slowly being paved over with strip malls and franchises. But he can’t serve enough Soup, Salad and Breadstick Specials to make his hometown feel like home.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This “heartbreaking comedy” has received favorable reviews, is playing at Playwrights Horizons on my West 42nd Street block, has a running time of 1:40, without intermission, and runs through January 4th.

OK, everyone out there in the boondocks, wastelands and hinterlands, it is time to post this and then get the F**k outta this apartment ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.11 miles (or, 8,985 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>1,369.38 miles (average 4.03 miles per day)
