THE WINSLOW BOY==>A

Wednesday==>Your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, is happy to report to all of his loyal and faithful readers and followers that late yesterday afternoon a Broadway show appeared on one of his tickets services ... so ... seeya later Daniel Radcliffe and your movie KILL YOUR DARLINGS.

Major thanks to The Theater Gods On High because the show was one I have been really wanting to see ...

8:00==>THE WINSLOW BOY - “This drama, set on the eve of World War I, follows a father’s attempt to clear his expelled student son’s tarnished reputation and to clear their family’s name. In doing so he has virtually destroyed the family’s upper middle class life.” (Broadway - complimentary ticket).

Billi Pod’s report card==>A

The role of the father is played by Roger Rees, who does an incredible job of depicting the physical and emotional toll the fight has taken on him.

The rest of the cast is stellar and the story line is totally involving through the  entire 2:45, one intermission, running time.

My comp. seat was in the rear orchestra and that was fine.

At first I had a bit of a problem with the English accents but, thankfully, it pretty quickly cleared up and wasn’t a problem. I was totally focused on the show. I wanted to like it ... and I did ... totally!!

The show received a rave review from The New York Times, is playing at the American Airlines Theater on West 42nd Street and runs through December 1.

Billi Pod says==>this is a “must-see” show.

Moving on ...

As most of you know, tonight is game 1 of The World Series, Boston FuckSox vs. St. Louis Cardinals, @ 8:00pm from that fetid cesspool known as Fenway Park.

It has been described as “the beards versus the birds.”

And, you know that Billi Pod is a huge baseball fan, meaning he will be, of course, in front of the tube tonight ... right?

WRONG!! No f**king way ... he could care less about who wins ... instead it will be some more classical music ...

8:00==>ORCHESTRA OF ST. LUKE’S @ Carnegie Hall - The program is: Mendelssohn - Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Britten - Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings: and, Shostavovich - Symphony No. 9. (complimentary ticket)

I have seen this group perform several times and each time has been totally enjoyable.

Of course, I have no clue where my comp. seat will be, but no matter because of the outstanding acoustics in Carnegie Hall.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.02 miles (or, 4,435 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>392.18 miles (average 3.44 miles per day)

GO GATORS!!
