LONDON SYMPHONY==>Excellent

Monday==>Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, and in the morass known as cyberspace, it is indeed Monday and I know many of you are already squirming at your desks or in your cubicles or whatevers.

Just take a deep breath and remember that you are one day closer to retirement, when you will be able to begin living out your dreams in the fashion set by your favorite blogger.

Of course, the above doesn't apply to Worker Bees because, as you know, Worker Bees never retire ... they just continue working until they die. Sorry, but the truth is the truth.

Anyway ... let’s get this posting started with Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s entertainment event ...

LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall, featuring works by Mozart and Shostakovich, was EXCELLENT, as anticipated.

Emanuel Ax did a fine job with Mozart’s “Jenamy” Concerto and the Shostakovich number was ... well ... Shostakovich, meaning kinda long at 61 minutes.

My comp. seat was amazing, in the center orchestra about 3/4s back from the stage. Awesome!

I left the concert with a nice smile on my face and it stayed with me as I walked back to PHC.

A bit later I met up with my theater-buddy Marty Kosarik aka Whatever and we had a nice dinner at The Theatre Row Diner next door to my apartment building.

So==>thanks again for dinner, Marty.

Moving on ...

Today, being a Monday, is going to be the usual errands and chores during the day and then for the evening ...

8:00==>WHEN WE MET - “A new musical about what happens when a quantum physicist and animal communicator meet on a disastrous blind date.” (free ticket)

This is a staged reading at The York Theatre (one of my favorite venues) in the basement of Saint Peter’s Church on East 54th Street and is a part of their Developmental Reading Series.

After the show I will walk back to the apartment, a distance of about 2-miles.

Moving on some more ...

In response to several rather snarky inquires about the upcoming World Series with The Cardinals and The FuckSox ... yes ... Billi Pod is a staunch supporter of the American League ... but ... and a huge but ... this year the AL is represented by The Boston FuckSox and there ain’t no way in Hell he is going to pull for those snot-nosed Beantown douche bags ... so ...

Go Cardinals!!

On this happy note will post this and then get to work on my to-do list.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.51 miles (or, 7,672 steps)

Total mileage for the week==>25.62 miles (average 3.67 miles per day)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>384.12 miles (average 3.46 miles per day)

GO GATORS!!
