TONY AWARDS SHOW==>EXCELLENT

Monday==>Let’s get today’s posting started with Billi Pod’s report card on his TONY AWARD PREDICTIONS ... tada ...

12 correct and 4 wrong, earning him==>B+

Not bad, IMHO. I honestly didn’t think Tracy Letts (who??), “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” had any chance whatsoever of beating out Tom Hanks, “Lucky Guy.” Well, as you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, Letts won and Hanks lost. The local papers all proclaimed that this was the biggest upset/surprise of the evening. Oh well ...

Neil Patrick Harris did a stellar job as the emcee and the opening number was totally AWESOME.

As you know, KINKY BOOTS pretty much ruled.

I watched the show with some of my AA buddies (you know who you are) and we had a great time, except for the fact that they wouldn’t follow my urging/request to hit the mute button during all of the acceptance speeches.

I met up with them after my Lincoln Center concert and we did a nice walk and wander session in The Upper Westside and then had an early dinner at a nice bistro on 73rd Street.

Billi Pod says==>it was great being with you guys!!

Moving on to Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s classical music concert at Lincoln Center ...

THE WORLD CIVIC ORCHESTRA @ Alice Tully Hall - “Ring of 1000 Souls & Sound,”==>WONDERFUL!!!

The concert was dedicated to “all of those who were affected by the Japan natural disasters, Hurricane Sandy, Boston Marathon bombing, Texas oil disaster, and the Oklahoma tornado.”

For me the highlight was the final number, Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, “From The New World.” “From The New World” ranks in the top ten of my favorite symphonies.

There was also a stellar performance of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 by young Taiwanese pianist Hsiang John Tu.

I had an excellent comp. seat and the house was 85% full.

It was a very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment.

And ... speaking of entertainment ... what about today?

Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, at the moment, 12:30pm, your favorite blogger has nothing scheduled for the evening. Now, hold on ...calm down ... take a deep breath ... it ain’t the end of the world ... because ...

He has several shows/events under consideration in addition to the possibility of catching a movie, probably the Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy THE INTERNSHIP.

Now it’s time for the usual baseball fix ...

Yesterday afternoon the Yankees won a nail biter beating Seattle 2-1 to take the series 3-1.

The Bombers have the day off as they head down to Oakland to begin a 3-game series.

OK ... as you know, Monday is my usual errands and stuff day and I actually have some errands and stuff to do ... so ... will post this and then begin my chores.

Oh ... yesterday was also an excellent walking day. I have shared a bit more walking details below ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>6.35 miles (or, 13,893 steps)

Mileage for week==>37.89 miles (average 5.41 miles per day)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,619.09 miles (average 4.71 miles per day)

Miles remaining to reach 1,700 by 7/1/13==>80.91 miles (must average 3.85 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
