Happy First Birthday Finley Falletta - Pardon My English - The Yankees - Early Birthday Dinner.

Thursday==>HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my youngest great-granddaughter FINLEY CAROLINE FALLETTA who is one year old today.  As many of you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, she lives with her older sister, Saylor, and her parents, Alex and Gina, in Elgin, SC, which is just outside Columbia.

It’s hard to believe that one year has passed already. They seem to grow up so quickly.

So==>love and hugs ... really miss you guys ... hopefully will be seeing you in the not-too-distant future.

Now ... moving on to Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s entertainment event ...

The Musicals Tonight production of the 1933 George and Ira Gershwin musical ...

PARDON MY ENGLISH, in order to promote the sale of beer and wine, the German government bans the sale of all non-alcoholic beverages. In retaliation, a speak-easy, Klub 21, is opened where patrons can imbibe forbidden drinks - cream soda and ginger ale. The Klub is run by Golo, who has a split personality that is only revealed when he gets hit on the head, which happens often==>totally enjoyable.

As usual, Mel Miller has brought together a stellar cast, headed by Tyler Milliron, in the dual roles of Golo and his alter-ego Michael, and Colin Ryan as Bauer, the Police Commissioner.

This staged reading concert has music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin including “Isn't It a Pity?”, “My Cousin in Milwaukee,” ”Where You Go, I Go,” and “In Three Quarter Time.”

Billi Pod says==>catch this if you can.

It is playing at the Theatre Row Complex on my West 42nd Street block, has a running time of 2:00, with intermission, and runs through April 19th.

As anticipated, for the evening I remained in my apartment to watch the final game of the YANKEES/ORIOLES series.

The Yankees lost the rubber-game 7-5 as the bullpen imploded, negating an excellent outing from Nathan Eovaldi and a towering HR from A-Rod.

This is the third consecutive series loss for the Yankees and could well be a true harbinger of a long and frustrating season.

Luckily they have tonight off as they travel to Tampa to begin a 3-game series with the Rays.

OK ... now let’s move on ...

Tonight is going to be something a bit different for your favorite blogger ... an early 81st Birthday (actual birthday is April 23rd) dinner with some of his AA buddies (you know who you are) at a posh West 70s apartment. Details are in the process of being finalized.

Really looking forward to seeing you guys.

In closing ... had two telephone conversations with the movers rep and expect to have a final estimate later on today ... so ... stay tuned.

GO YANKEES!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.08 miles (or, 8,749 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>411.88 miles (average 3.92 miles per day)
