Good morning everyone out there in the vast wilderness known as cyberspace.
Yes, Billi Pod Blogs did it==>20,000+ blog page views in the 15 months that the blog site has been tracking visitors.
For the past year (12 months ending November 30th) the number is 16,128. In anticipation of your inquiries - the tracking program does not count the number of times I visit the site.
The tracking program also records the visitor’s source country and the operating system in use. Actually, I think this is a bit scary ... but ... for your further edification, the top 10 countries for the total 20,000+ views are:
United States - 13,123
France - 1,487
Russia - 482
Germany - 431
Canada - 275
Netherlands - 261
United Kingdom - 241
Slovenia - 185
Singapore - 168
China - 121
The operating systems are:
Windows - 10,953 - 55%
Macintosh - 7,390 - 37%
Other - 1,657 - 8%
Yes, Billi Pod thinks this is pretty AWESOME, but then ... it is up to you loyal and faithful readers ... because ...
I report - you decide.
Moving on ...
Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s DERBY DAY, the drama about one long day at the races with the Ballard brothers, who destroy everything and everyone in their way – drinking, cursing, and revealing family secrets==>C-<==and that is giving it the benefit of the doubt.
It has a totally unbelievable story line that takes the “dysfunctional family” cliché to a new bottomless low. There is a lot of very realistic fighting on stage and the acting is OK (which saves it from getting an F) ... but ... man ... when it was over Billi Pod hated each of the characters.
It also seemed to be fighting the unbelievable BURNING, playing in the same complex, for gasp-inducing and WTF scenes/events/moments.
So, my loyal and faithful readers in the Greater New York area==>You are warned - see this at your own risk.
Today is a doubleheader for Billi Pod, something rather unusual for a Thursday ...
1:30==>WICKED MOON - “Meet Arlene Lewis, owner of the Wicked Moon cabaret. Her niece is engaged to marry the wrong man, her best friend would rather talk like a man than trust one, and now the landlord wants to turn the Moon into a sex shop. (Off Broadway - free ticket)
This is part of the York Theatre Developmental Reading Series. I am seeing this with my theater buddy Dian Crystal and her posse.
Then for tonight is ...
7:30==>NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall - “The program is Mahler’s Tenth Symphony - conducted by young maestro Daniel Harding." (subscription series free ticket)
In closing==>in response to several posts, texts and emails ... no, The Yankees have not responded to my email and ... no ... I haven't changed my mind.
