Happy Birthday Donna Parker - Walking Stats - Baseball - Donald Trump==>Disgusting!

Sunday==>We will get things started with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to my niece DONNA PARKER.

Donna and her darling daughter, Josie, live in the Denver, Colorado, area. Donna is, among other things, an avid Denver Bronco fan.

So ... Donna ... love ya - mean it!

Moving on ...

The highlight for Saturday for your favorite Sunshine State blogger was an excellent walking day. With his early morning walking and wandering, walking in the apartment during the baseball games he watched and then an early evening walk and wander session in his Winter Park Village ‘hood, Billi Pod recorded==>6.27 miles.

Now, in the name of fair and unbiased reporting he has to admit that when he returned to the apartment from the last walk and wander session he was tired and this morning when he got up his body told him that it needed a break ... so ... no  early walk and wander session for this morning ... oh well ... already getting kinda antsy ...

When I wasn’t walking and wandering yesterday I was, of course, in the cool and comfortable confines of my new apartment, in front of my 42” flat screen TV watching baseball, in hi-def.

My Yankees lost to the Mariners by a score of 4-3. All of the Mariners runs came on two HRs from former Yankee Robinson Cano. Barf!!

This afternoon at 1:05pm at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed and Ego Built, will be the final game of the 3-game series.

On the mound for the Yankees (49-41) will be the still struggling CC Sabathia (4-8) vs. Felix Hernandez aka King Felix (11-5) for Seattle (42-49)

My plans for today will be to spend the afternoon watching baseball and then for the evening ...

Dinner with my son Bill III aka The Bill, probably at our favorite Outback Steakhouse.

Yeah, we really like everything about this place, the food, the service, the atmosphere ... everything.

Moving on ...

For the most part I have avoided commenting of the current political scene but Donald Trump’s comments yesterday about Senator John McCain couldn’t get by without some reference.

If, by chance, you missed it ... Trump said that there was nothing heroic about the 5 1/2 years McCain spent in a North Vietnamese POW camp, that he was a hero only because he was captured.

This from a man who reportedly received five deferments from military service at the height of the Vietnam War.

DISGUSTING!!

The front page of today’s New York Post pretty much says it all ...
On this happy note ... will close this posting out and get ready for some more baseball.

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND!!

GO YANKEES!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>6.27 miles (or, 13,717 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>817.62 miles (average 4.11 miles per day)
