It Is Yankee Stadium Tonight.

Monday==>I hope that everyone out there in the boondocks, hinterlands and wilderness had a great weekend because your favorite blogger certainly did here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

Spent the afternoon in front of the tube watching the final game of the YANKEES/TIGERS 3-game series, which the Yankees won 5-4 in dramatic fashion ... details below.

Then for the evening was an Off Broadway show at the 59E59 Theater Complex ...

SUMMER SHORTS, Series B, three one-act plays==>A

This was a totally enjoyable evening’s entertainment, with excellent acting and mostly funny story lines.

The house was sold-out and everyone seemed to be having a really good time. It was a nice way to end the weekend.

It is playing at the 59E59 Theatre Complex, has a running time of 1:40, with an intermission, and runs in repertory with Series A through August 31st.

I plan to catch Series A.

Billi Pod says==>definitely worth seeing.

When the show was over I rather leisurely walked back to the apartment, a distance of 2+ miles.

Moving on ...

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, it is Monday and that means most of the remainder of the afternoon will be spent working on Billi Pod’s usual errands and chores list.

Then, for the evening, Billi Pod’s entertainment event will be a trip out to Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, for the 7:05pm YANKEES/ANGELS game. This is the first game of a 4-game series.

There is a 20% chance of rain at game time. Barf!! Thank God my seat is in a protected area. This game is #10 of my 12-game season ticket package.

On the mound for the Yankees will be our ace Hiroki Kuroda (10-7) vs. Garrett Richards (3-4) for The Angels, who are 4th place in the AL West.

Man, yesterday’s Tigers game was a total nail-biter with just a little of everything good and bad for the Yankees:

Pettitte was mediocre again;
A-Rod homers and singles to drive in 2-runs;
Gardner makes a game-saving defensive play;
Mo blows his 3rd consecutive save for the first time in his elite career;
Gardner saves him with a 2-out walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th for the 5-4 win; and,
The Yankees win their first series since July 7th.

At this point in the season Brett Gardner is the Yankee MVP, without a doubt.

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers ... time to post this and then get to work ... so ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.25 miles (or, 9,300 steps)

Total mileage for week==>25.22 miles (average 3.60 miles per day)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>146.26 miles (average 3.58 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
