Tuesday afternoon and we have nasty weather in the Big Apple.
Last nite’s Summer Broadway Festival-Broadway Winners @ Town Hall--->excellent<---looking forward to the next two Monday concerts.
2nite @ 8:00 EST is the MLB All Star Game from Anaheim. Since the first pitch won’t be until 9:00, I snuck in a staged reading at a theater next door to PHC.
7:00--->Staged Reading: “The Pretty Trap & Interior Panic” (both by Tennessee Williams), with Elaine Stritch, Marian Seldes, Len Cariou and Penny Fuller. I mean, how could a theater nut like moi pass up seeing this cast?
And, of course, The Yankee Universe is saddened by the death of The Boss at age 80. He and The Voice of God, Bob Sheppard, will be missed.
