John Scott Reed - I Am Harvey Milk Concert - Baseball

Monday==>Yesterday was a wonderful day for your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

The highlight was a terrific time with John Scott Reed aka Fabson at his posh apartment located on the 20th floor of a high rise building on West 37th Street. We spent about 90 minutes together in a much needed/wanted catching up session. So much is going on in his life, personally and professionally, and, I am soooooooo happy to report ... all extremely positive.

Yes, this Polk County guy continues to live his life to the fullest here in Gotham City and I am soooooooooo happy for him and proud of what he has accomplished.

Scott let me touch his new iPhone6 and that was a terrible mistake on my part because now I have to have one, too ... ASAP. Stay tuned.

When we finished up I came back to the cozy confines of PHC and settled in for a major day/evening of post-season baseball, the American League Division Series (ALDS) and ... WOW ... it was a lot of fun, if you are a baseball fan, of course.

First, in the afternoon==>Baltimore beat Detroit 2-1 to sweep the Tigers 3-0 and advance to the AL Championship Series (ALCS).

Then, in the evening==>Kansas City beat Los Angeles 8-3 to sweep The Angels 3-0 and advance to the ALCS.

The Orioles and The Royals will play the first game of the ALCS on Friday night in Baltimore.

Moving on ...

As you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, Monday is your favorite blogger’s errands and chores day, which will begin as soon as this is posted.

Then ... for the evening is a concert at Lincoln Center ...

7:30==>I AM HARVEY MILK @ Avery Fisher Hall - “This part choral work, part theater piece weaves the story of Harvey Milk’s life from boyhood to his rise as the first openly gay man to hold public office in California, to his assassination.” (concert - discounted ticket)

This is the East Coast premiere of award winning composer Andrew Lippa’s new work and it features Lippa, with Kristin Chenoweth, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and the All-Star Broadway Men’s Chorus.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) a professional provider of social support and programming for at-risk lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

When the concert is over I will walk back to the apartment, weather permitting, of course.

In closing==>I am happy to report that THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has now officially opened and it received rave reviews, especially from Ben Brantley of The New York Times. As you loyal and faithful readers and followers will recall, Billi Pod gave it an A when he saw it in early previews.
