Congratulations to Alex & Gina Falletta!!

CONGRATULATIONS go out to my grandson Alex Falletta and his incredible wife, Gina, as they celebrate their 12th Wedding Anniversary today.

I was honored to have been asked to preside over the event in Lakeland, FL. At the conclusion of the emotional ceremony I said:

“Now that Alex and Gina have given themselves to each other by solemn vows, with the joining of hands, the giving and receiving of rings, and the lighting of the Unity Candle, by the powers vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the State of Florida, I am pleased and deeply honored to pronounce that they are now husband and wife.”

Yes, a lot has happened in these 12 years, including, on a positive note, Gina receiving her degree from the University of South Carolina, Alex being deployed to Iraq and safely returning, and the birth of their two darling daughters Saylor and Finley, my great-granddaughters

So ... have a great time guys ... you have more than earned it.

Now ... moving on to Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s entertainment event ...

The Off Broadway show ...

THIS WILL ALL BE YOURS, in this musical the past and the future collide on one family’s farm. It's 1979 and progress is about to land on everybody's doorstep, sometimes gently and other times with a giant thud==>B+

A very pleasant and involving story line about how a close-knit family deals with changing times, down on the farm.

The music and lyrics are excellent and are crucial to the development of the story line.

The cast is also excellent, headed by Josh Powell as Adam, the father and patriarch of the family. He has a terrific voice. For once we have a head of the family who isn’t an abusive alcoholic. Nice!

Billi Pod says==>catch this if you can.

It is playing at the TBG Theatre on West 36th Street, has a running time of 1:30, without intermission, and the remaining performance dates are: Monday, August 4th @ 7:00pm and Thursday, August 7th @ 7:00pm.

Moving on some more to today’s entertainment event ...

The Off Broadway show ...

3:00==>POOR BEHAVIOR - “A comedy of liquor, adultery and philosophy that concerns two couples enjoying a none-too-relaxing weekend in the country. Over the course of a boozy evening and a hung-over morning they debate what constitutes a good life.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show, playing at The Duke on West 42nd Street, is in early previews, opens on August 13th, has a running time of 2:20, with intermission, and runs through September 7th.

Now ... on the sports scene ...

Last night in that fetid cesspool known as Fenway Park The Yankees (56-53) had a come-from-behind 6-4 win over The Boston FuckSox (49-61), sparked by a 4-run third inning.

Tonight @ 8:00pm will be the final game of the 3-game series. On the mound for The Bronx Bombers will be David Phelps (5-5) vs. Clay Buchholtz (5-7) for The FuckSox. The game will be carried on ESPN, meaning it’s gonna last forever.

Yes, your favorite blogger will be in front of his new (to him) 42” TV watching the game.

And ... on this happy note we will close this posting out with ...

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.08 miles (or, 8,934 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>839.41 miles (average 3.92 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
