The Polar Vortex Has Returned

Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, the polar vortex has returned and it is majorly nasty right now here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

It began snowing early this morning and has been steadily increasing in intensity ever since. At 2:30pm the temperature is 18º, with wind chill it is down to 5º. Burrrrrr!!

Of course there is accumulating snow and ice. This is what it looks out the window of PHC, looking at the intersection of 42nd Street and 9th Avenue.

I think the snow is supposed to continue for the remainder of the day and into the evening ... and ... of course, I have a show scheduled for tonight, the Broadway drama ...

This show had a very successful Off Broadway run. I saw it back on October 6th when it was playing at The Duke Theatre and gave it a grade of A. 

It has now transferred to a Broadway venue, The Circle In the Square Theatre at Broadway and 51st Street, and is in early previews. It has a running time of 1:50, with intermission, and tickets are on sale through July 6th.

Most of the original cast made the transfer, including one of my favorite actors, Keith Knobbs, as the hot-tempered manager Billy Martin.

Moving on ...

Actually, this really isn’t moving on ... because late yesterday afternoon the producer of my scheduled Off Broadway show, GREED: A Musical For Our Times, withdrew our comp. tixs. BUMMER!!

This very rarely happens, but when it does it is always a major BUMMER because of the difficulty in booking another show on such short notice.

So ... your favorite blogger stayed in the warm and cozy confines of PHC and basically spent the evening working on the details for the 2013 Entertainment Stats posting, which, as you know, was posted earlier this afternoon.

Man, it is really really nasty and ugly right now. Going to and from my show tonight ain’t gonna be nice, that is for sure.
