Good morning to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers.
This is something for you to think about over your morning coffee and Danish ...
Yeah, it kinda makes you stop and think, doesn't it?
It was dark and gloomy at 8:30am this morning in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, which, I am confident, reflects the mood in that pitiful morass known as THE F**KSOX UNIVERSE, managed by a clueless Bobby Valentine.
Yes, it rained at the beginning of last night’s game at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, but no delays, Thank God. We won 6-4 on 5 solo HRs, two from Nick Swisher. Phil Hughes overcame a dismal 4th inning and got the win.
Seated next to me were two brothers in their early 60s, one from upstate New York and the other from Maine. This was their first trip to Yankee Stadium. They seemed somewhat subdued during the beginning of the game and it was only after The F**KSox took a temporary 4-3 lead did they admit to being F**KSox fans. WTF??
We had a nice back-and-forth banter during the game and, of course, Billi Pod got the last laugh as their pathetic team went down in flames, yet again.
The Bombers are now 7-3 vs. The F**kSox. In 2011 The Yankees were only 6-12 against them.
What a difference a year makes==>Thank You Bobby V.
The second game of the 3 game series is this afternoon at 4:00pm, to be carried on FOX.
Pitching for The Bronx Bombers will be David Phelps (3-3) vs. Jon Lester (6-10) for those loser-guys.
I will, of course, stay in to watch the game.
Moving on ...
Today is another entertainment doubleheader for Billi Pod ...
2:00==>NATIONAL PASTIME - “A musical comedy about a failing Iowa radio station in 1933 that invents an unbeatable fake baseball team to drum up listeners but makes a few errors along the way." (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
The show is playing at a theater on my block, a mere 101 steps from the front door of my apartment, PHC, on the 41st floor of 420 W. 42nd Street.
Then for the evening is ...
8:00==>TWO ROOMS - “A drama written by Pulitzer Prize & Tony Award nominee, Lee Blessing, about an American professor who is held hostage in Lebanon as his wife waits anxiously back home in D.C.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
This show is also playing at a theater on my block and this venue is only 140 steps from the front door of my apartment.
Yeah, this is why Billi Pod likes his Hell Kitchen neighborhood. Oh, the number of steps were measured by my Weight Watchers Pedometer, in case you were wondering.
It has brightened up considerably, so will post this and then do a bit of walking ...
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.27 miles
Total mileage since 7/1/12==>205.93
Mileage remaining until 4/23/13==>873.07
GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
Billi Pod
